Am I loving all the Varric content DAV is bringing us? Absolutely. Am I also plugging my ears yelling “I can’t hear you!” while everyone is (rightly) pointing out there’s a lot of evidence they’re gona kill Varric? Yes the fuck I am.
So please enjoy this thirst trap I drew to distract myself from the possibility, and Amira reacting to it:
Amira will be claiming she’s just flushed from training with Cass and for No Other Reason At All.
Amira might have been interested in the Wardens when she was first introduced to Duncan but she never imagined joining them the way she did.

Working on this reminded me of two thing) I need to practice coloring and color theory mor cause I struggle to color things in a way I’m satisfied with and 2) all the canon mage robes in Origins are terrible
These idiots have no idea they're gona fall in love.
I was reminded how much I absolutely love The Wayhaven Chronicles recently, and playing through the newly released 3rd book made me want to go back to Book 1 and really nail my "canon" run for my main detective Beth.
Her dynamic with Adam is very fun since he doesn't make the best first impression. Like they're very similar in a lot of ways, but with very different ideas about how to get a job done so they start out being at odds. I mean Beth is attracted to him pretty much from go, but she's mad about it.
“Don’t let them see they get to you. They’re not worth it.”

The Winter Palace was a particularly exhausting night for Amira, for who Orlesian politics doesn’t come naturally. Luckily Varric was able to help her find a moment to breath.
This takes place during the pining potion of their relationship because they’re a pair of emotionally constipated idiots who think they’re not allowed to move on from their first heartbreaks. They get it together eventually, but it’s definitely a slow burn situation.
“I hope this is what will make you happy Alistair.”
And despite everything, she meant it.
The fun thing about having a multiple Wardens run is one of them can organize the engagement to Anora and convince Alistair it’s for the good of Fereldan without the other one knowing a thing. Cassian (the wonderful @world-of-thedas’ Tabris) had Alistair convinced Amira would understand, and hey, he’ll be the King, it’s not like anyone could really stop Alistair and Amira from being together, right? When Alistair told Amira the plan Amira… didn’t take the suggestion she could be Alistair’s mistress well.
fan art from 2017. The original vibe was supposed to be pinup but the redraw ended up much more just straight on illustration I think. Which maybe means I have to do a proper Varric pin up still.
It feels pretty good to see the progress I’ve made over the last few years. I think I’d like to try doing more redraws soon.
The immediate aftermath of Amira’s conversation with Alistair regarding Goldana. Ft. @world-of-thedas’ warden, Cassian. You might think Cassian is being encouraging but he is in fact here to cause Problems™️
