Amira is far too Fereldan for this Orlesian Ball nonsense, but there’s an assassination to prevent so she’ll suck it up.

I rewatched 2005 Pride & Prejudice recently so I decided to draw something Halamshiral related. I’ve always headcannoned a scene before the ball where the inner circle is all running around whatever fantasy AirBnB they’re all staying in getting ready. While that’s all happening I like to imagine Amira and Varric got to have a bit of a seeing each other in their fancy outfits for the first on the stairwell moment like it was Prom. They’re both pretending they don’t have feelings for each other at this point (to varying degrees of self awareness) so there’s ~tension~ that they’re not about to acknowledge.

Is your Hawke afraid of death for the canon asks 👀

She’s not afraid of her death but she’s afraid of other people’s. Which given the trajectory of Hawke’s story is so sad and a little ironic. My Hawke puts on a confident, fearless facade but she’s very fear motivated.

Like my Hawke is a warrior because she wanted the power to protect her siblings. When she was a kid she had reoccurring nightmares about the templars coming to take Bethany away. To the point that after one she’d go sleep outside the door of Bethany and Carver’s room because then she’d know Bethany was safe.

My Hawke would die a thousand times over if it meant someone she loved could live.

My latest art fight attack ft. @arimabari’s Florence Trevelyan. The lore was too good not to draw, as were the outfits. Honestly the hardest part was picking which OC of theirs to draw. I Highly recommend checking out the OG.

Am I loving all the Varric content DAV is bringing us? Absolutely. Am I also plugging my ears yelling “I can’t hear you!” while everyone is (rightly) pointing out there’s a lot of evidence they’re gona kill Varric? Yes the fuck I am.

Amira might have been interested in the Wardens when she was first introduced to Duncan but she never imagined joining them the way she did.

Amira and Varric spend a good while “just friends” cause they’re both romantically repressed dorks who don’t realize their feelings are mutual.

They’re very happy together once they figure it out however.

I was reminded how much I absolutely love The Wayhaven Chronicles recently, and playing through the newly released 3rd book made me want to go back to Book 1 and really nail my "canon" run for my main detective Beth.

Her dynamic with Adam is very fun since he doesn't make the best first impression. Like they're very similar in a lot of ways, but with very different ideas about how to get a job done so they start out being at odds. I mean Beth is attracted to him pretty much from go, but she's mad about it.

The Winter Palace was a particularly exhausting night for Amira, for who Orlesian politics doesn’t come naturally. Luckily Varric was able to help her find a moment to breath.

This takes place during the pining potion of their relationship because they’re a pair of emotionally constipated idiots who think they’re not allowed to move on from their first heartbreaks. They get it together eventually, but it’s definitely a slow burn situation.

And despite everything, she meant it.

The fun thing about having a multiple Wardens run is one of them can organize the engagement to Anora and convince Alistair it’s for the good of Fereldan without the other one knowing a thing. Cassian (the wonderful @world-of-thedas’ Tabris) had Alistair convinced Amira would understand, and hey, he’ll be the King, it’s not like anyone could really stop Alistair and Amira from being together, right? When Alistair told Amira the plan Amira… didn’t take the suggestion she could be Alistair’s mistress well.
