I've met a few people who wanted to breed dogs irresponsibly- could you give us a few reasons not to?
(the particular people said they would do health testing and not crossbreed, but did not have the living space/money/etc to house puppies, so more into that if that's okay)
I am not the best person to speak on this because I myself have never bred a litter, but I am friends with lots of breeders.
The biggest thing is that breeding is very expensive to do right, even before puppies arrive. Health testing, progesterone testing, various AI methods if needed, prenatal workups, the possibility of a C-section, the possibility of an EMERGENCY C-section...all very costly. Then you gotta have all your whelping supplies and containment methods and enrichment for babies, food for mama and food for babies, cleaning supplies, some way to deal with the poop poop poop a pile of puppies will make.
In addition to the financial cost, there is always a danger to your bitch during breeding. Things can go wrong. She can get hurt, require surgery, go septic, or even die. Puppies can be stillborn, fail to thrive, have some unexpected defects, get sat on or munched by an inexperienced or confused dam. It's not for the faint of heart.
I have to add that I don't think crossbreeding itself is inherently unethical btw, it can be done thoughtfully and well and those puppies deserve to thrive just as much as any others.
Hope that helps!

An oldie but a goldie - here are a bunch of tricks with my late rats wearing christmas/holiday costumes! Unfortunately only Pistachio of my current rats has gotten to try these on, but the others will get their chance in the future! And in the mean time, you get to see my sweet late girls Olive, Donut, Egg, Omelet, Blueberry, Banana, and Espresso all rocking their time in these costumes ❤️ 🎄
