Hugo sits on his bed, still in his Halloween costume, reminiscing on tonight's events.
How close he and Dylan were. Her hand on his face. He can't help but smile as he thinks about it.
His daydreaming is interrupted by the sound of the doorbell.
Confused and curious he hurries downstairs to discover who could possibly be ringing his doorbell so late.
Standing in front of the door, shocked, Hugo sees an anxious and upset Dylan at his door. She's still in her costume but she has black stained tears streaming down her face.
Hugo unlocks the door and before he can turn the door handle, Dylan is stepping inside asking if she can sleep over.
"I tried going home first but Spencer locked the door, and I can't find my key. I tried waking her up, but I didn't have any luck.... I didn't know where else to go..."
"It's okay. Of course you can stay here, Dyl." Hugo reassures her, he can tell that she's on edge and overexplaining herself out of nervousness.
The two head for the stairs. Once Dylan is in the comfort of Hugo's bedroom, a once familiar place, she tells him everything.
About how she and Jaiden never get along, how he treats her like a child, how he's jealous of Hugo...
"It's just too much, H" She confesses.
Hugo didn't know that things were so tense between her and Jaiden. He wants to comfort her, but he doesn't know how anymore so, he grabs a hoodie and a pair of shorts and hands them to Dylan.
Dylan exits the bathroom feeling exhausted. She bumps into Hugo on his way down the stairs. He has a blanket and pillow in hand.
"I was going to let you have the bed. I want you to be comfortable." He explains.
"No, I - I want you to stay.... " Dylan says.

3 months after Dylan and Hugo's drunken kiss everyone gathered at Jaiden's for a dinner party to break in his new house.
What Hugo didn't know is that he was attending a dinner party hosted by both Jaiden and his girlfriend, Dylan.
Hugo lets himself in and follows the sounds of laughter into the dining room. Evan had just put a jazzy vinyl onto the record player and a few of the others were drunkenly dancing.
Distracted, Hugo starts to scan the room looking for a specific blonde he had hoped to see.
It had been a long 3 months. Hugo tried reaching out, but Dylan wouldn't return his calls. He was desperate to see if maybe she also felt something when they kissed that night at the lake.
He missed her like crazy. He knew he screwed up the one good thing he had.
Hugo doesn't see Dylan, so he continues to the kitchen where he overhears Jaiden.
"You're just overreacting like you always do—it's embarrassing."

The group’s weekend getaway to Evan’s parents’ cabin in Granite Falls was supposed to be a carefree escape. Evan’s folks barely use the cabin due to their constant travels, making it the perfect spot.
They dove into card games, darts, and gossip, settling in for a relaxing time. But as they arrived Friday night, an unexpected guest caught everyone off guard: Jaiden, Aliyah’s brother, who had been visiting from out of town. Aliyah couldn’t fathom not inviting him as he had been visiting from out of town, and his presence raised eyebrows.
Was Aliyah trying to distract Dylan with Jaiden’s company, or maybe hoping Jaiden could pull her own heartstrings away from Hugo for a weekend?
This trip was the first time Hugo and Dylan had shared a roof since their split a month ago. It was awkward, but Hugo thought he could handle it. That is, until it got worse. Hugo couldn’t ignore the easy camaraderie between Jaiden and Dylan—how they laughed, how they flirted. Hugo had done everything to stay clear of them, but it seemed impossible to escape the painful spectacle of their budding connection right before his eyes.

Name: Hugo Bennett
Age: 22
Background:
Hugo Bennett grew up in the vibrant, art district of San Myshuno. From a young age, he was immersed in a world where creativity and artistic expression were highly valued. His parents, Elise and Martin Bennett, were both involved in the arts—Elise was a gallery curator, while Martin was a jazz musician. Their home was a haven of eclectic art pieces, musical instruments, and a constant flow of creative energy.
As a child, Hugo was always surrounded by art and music. His room was filled with colorful paintings and posters of his parents’ favorite musicians. His early memories include dancing around the living room to his father’s saxophone solos and sketching whimsical characters inspired by his mother’s gallery exhibitions. These experiences nurtured his love for both visual and auditory art.
In school, Hugo stood out for his creativity. He excelled in art classes, often experimenting with different mediums and styles. His love for music was equally strong; he played the guitar and piano and was deeply involved in his school’s music program. He would often host small gigs in his garage, where friends and neighbors would come to enjoy his original compositions and covers of classic songs.
Hugo’s teenage years were marked by a strong sense of individuality. He was known for his unique fashion sense, which combined vintage clothing with handmade accessories. This personal style was a reflection of his artistic spirit and his desire to stand out from the crowd. He also became the lead guitarist in a local band, which gained a modest following in the underground music scene.
After high school, Hugo decided to pursue a degree in Arts and Music at a nearby university. He hoped to combine his passions into a career that allowed him to express himself creatively. During college, he delved into various artistic disciplines, including digital art and music production. His projects ranged from creating album art for indie bands to composing original scores for short films made by fellow students.
Outside of academics, Hugo continued to explore his artistic interests. He organized art and music events in his community, fostering a space where emerging artists and musicians could showcase their work. His knack for bringing people together and his ability to appreciate and celebrate different forms of art made him a beloved figure in his local creative scene.
Despite his growing success, Hugo remained humble and focused on his art for the sheer joy it brought him. He dreamt of one day opening his own art gallery and music studio, where he could continue to inspire others and celebrate the beauty of creativity in all its forms.
Hugo Bennett’s story is one of passion, creativity, and a deep appreciation for the arts—a testament to a young man who found his voice through the fusion of music and visual expression, and who continues to leave his mark on the world in a vibrant, colorful way.

Dylan and Hugo met during their freshman year of high school, and from the moment they connected over their shared passion for music and art, their bond was electric. Both 14 and eager to explore their creativity, they quickly grew close. Dylan found herself increasingly flustered around Hugo—her palms would grow clammy, and her heart would race in his presence. The intensity of her feelings was undeniable, but it wasn’t until their sophomore year that Dylan decided to confront them.
One weekend, as the crisp autumn air settled around San Myshuno, Dylan and Hugo were ensconced in the warm glow of her family’s grand piano. They were lost in conversation about which song she should play next when Dylan’s gaze lingered on Hugo. The soft light accentuated his features, making him look almost otherworldly.
“Do I have something on my face?” Hugo’s voice broke through her reverie as he wiped his mouth with the back of his hand.
“OH! N-No, there isn’t anything on your face,” Dylan stammered, her cheeks turning a deep crimson. “Sorry, I just—”
“What is it then?” Hugo asked, his eyes curious and a little puzzled.
“Umm, nothing ha-ha. You’re just... so... beautiful,” Dylan said, her voice trailing off into a nervous whisper.
A thick silence fell between them, and Dylan’s heart sank as she realized what she had just confessed. She looked away, her face burning with embarrassment. But before she could even begin to apologize, Hugo’s lips were on hers. The kiss was soft but charged, a declaration of the feelings they both harbored but had been too afraid to voice. Dylan melted into it, her worries and fears momentarily forgotten.
The next four years were a whirlwind of passion and growth. Dylan and Hugo’s relationship flourished, fueled by their shared creativity and love for music. However, as Dylan went off to university, the distance began to strain their once-intimate connection. Hugo, left behind in San Myshuno, felt increasingly neglected. Dylan’s life was consumed by her studies and new experiences, leaving Hugo feeling like a distant memory.
As fall break approached, Hugo was filled with a mix of excitement and apprehension. The drive to pick Dylan up from the airport was overshadowed by an undercurrent of tension. The silence between them was thick, and Hugo, unable to bear it any longer, confronted Dylan.
“It feels like you’ve forgotten about us,” he said, his voice cracking with emotion. “I’m struggling here, Dylan. You’ve been so caught up in your new life that I feel like I don’t even exist.”
Dylan’s face was etched with guilt and sadness. “I didn’t realize how much I’ve been neglecting us,” she admitted, her voice trembling. “I’m overwhelmed, and I need some space to figure things out.”
They arrived home, and Dylan asked for time apart. Hugo agreed, his heart heavy with a mix of hurt and resignation. As fall break came to an end, Dylan returned to Britechester without so much as a goodbye, leaving Hugo feeling abandoned and betrayed.
In the weeks that followed, Hugo’s frustration turned into anger and bitterness. The emptiness of their relationship weighed heavily on him. When old friends from high school returned for a visit, he decided to join them for a night out, seeking solace in the distraction of bar hopping and loud music.
The night was a blur of flashing lights and raucous laughter. Hugo lost himself in the chaos, trying to drown out his inner turmoil. By morning, he was greeted by a pounding headache and a disorienting sense of dislocation. As he stirred awake, he noticed an unfamiliar presence beside him in bed.
A jolt of panic surged through him as he turned to see a woman’s face partially obscured by messy hair. He looked beneath the sheets, and the sinking realization hit him like a tidal wave—this wasn’t Dylan. The guilt and regret were immediate and crushing.
Sitting on the edge of the bed, Hugo’s mind raced with the implications of his actions. The betrayal he had just committed was a mirror of the pain he felt from Dylan’s earlier neglect. He knew he had crossed a line that could never be uncrossed, and the weight of his infidelity was almost unbearable.
The following days were marked by a heavy silence as Hugo grappled with his actions. He tried to reach out to Dylan, but his messages went unanswered. When they finally spoke, the conversation was fraught with anguish. Dylan’s voice was cold and distant as she confronted Hugo’s betrayal.
“You knew how much I struggled with the distance, and you...” Dylan’s voice broke, the pain clear in her words. “I thought we were building something real, but you’ve destroyed it.”
The breakup was inevitable. Hugo’s actions had irreparably damaged the trust they had built over the years. The relationship that once seemed destined for a bright future had been shattered by his moment of weakness. Both were left to pick up the pieces of their lives, forever changed by the betrayal that ended their once-beautiful connection.

Two weeks had passed since Dylan’s suspension, and she was finally feeling ready to return to her life at Britechester. The first party of the semester, hosted by her friend Evan, seemed like a perfect chance to reconnect with her friends and enjoy some much-needed distraction. What Dylan didn’t expect was that this party would become the stage for an unresolved confrontation.
As the evening unfolded, the apartment buzzed with excitement. Music pulsed through the speakers, and laughter echoed off the walls. Dylan was managing to enjoy herself, though the weight of the recent breakup still loomed over her. The last thing she wanted was to face Hugo, but fate had its own plans.
The encounter happened in an unexpected and painfully intimate moment. Dylan had just exited the bathroom, hoping for a brief respite from the party's chaos, when she nearly collided with Hugo. He was engrossed in his phone, making his way to the door to leave, when he looked up and saw her standing right next to him.
Their eyes met in a jarring moment of recognition. Dylan’s face registered shock, her breath catching in her throat. Hugo’s expression mirrored her disbelief, a mix of regret and sorrow. For a few seconds, the world seemed to narrow down to the two of them, surrounded by the muffled sounds of the party.
Hugo broke the silence first, his voice tinged with a defensive edge. “Don’t worry about me. I was just leaving. I won’t be in your way.”
Dylan’s gaze was unwavering, a flicker of hurt and frustration crossing her face. “You should stay if you want to,” she said, her voice steady despite the turmoil inside. “I’ll leave. I wasn’t having much fun anyway.”
As Dylan turned to walk away, Hugo’s hand reached out and gently grasped her arm. The touch was almost hesitant, a silent plea that she might reconsider. “Dylan, wait. Can we—”
Dylan pulled her arm away with a sharp, determined motion. She looked back at him, her eyes filled with a mix of sadness and resolve. “Let me go, Hugo,” she said softly but firmly. “I need to leave.”
With those final words, Dylan turned and walked away, her footsteps echoing with a sense of finality. Hugo watched her leave, the weight of his own actions and the unresolved feelings hanging heavy in the air. As she disappeared into the night, Hugo was left standing alone, grappling with the painful reality that their relationship had ended, and that some wounds might never fully heal.

Hugo sat alone in his dimly lit room, the soft hum of the fluorescent light overhead a distant, unremarkable presence. His room was scattered with relics of better times—old vinyl records, photographs, and faded posters of bands he once loved. But tonight, these things felt like haunting reminders of a happiness now out of reach.
As he lay on his bed, staring blankly at the ceiling, his mind was a turbulent sea of memories. The walls of his room seemed to close in around him, amplifying the weight of his regret. Every so often, he would close his eyes, and when he did, he was transported back to moments that felt like they belonged to a different life—a life before the betrayal, before the irrevocable break.
But with each memory came a stinging reminder of what he had done. The betrayal he had inflicted, the trust he had shattered, replayed like a cruel counterpoint to the happiness he once knew. The images of Dylan—her hurt, her confusion—haunted him like spectral echoes of a past that was forever lost.
Hugo rolled onto his side, trying to escape the relentless onslaught of memories. He buried his face in his hands, trying to shut out the images that seemed to invade every corner of his mind. Each memory felt like a knife twisting deeper into his heart, reminding him of the irrevocable damage he had caused.
The room felt colder, the silence heavier, as Hugo lay there, grappling with the realization that he might never find peace. The consequences of his actions were not just a distant regret; they were a living, breathing entity, tormenting him with every breath he took.
Finally, Hugo turned to face the camera, his eyes red and hollow, a reflection of the torment within. His voice was barely a whisper, cracked and strained with the weight of his emotions. “She’s never going to forgive me,” he said, the words carrying the weight of an apology that would never truly suffice.
