I moved...
We decided to move to Charles’s little trailer home in California.
As some of you know, June last year, my husband Charles and I separated. After fourteen years together we needed space apart. He moved to Southern California with a friend, found work as a bartender and rented a small place to live. When the pandemic hit we were forced to re-evaluate our future together, the shop’s future, Seattle’s future and our animal’s future too. We reconciled and made a plan together. We decided we needed to close the store permanently. We decided we needed to leave our home of twenty years. We decided our 3 cats & tiny dog might be happier in a different living situation too. We drove 22hrs straight for their sake. They hate car rides. We went from wet weather pine forests to hot cactus filled deserts overnight. It’s a sudden change for all of us. Uncertainty and challenges still lay ahead, the future seems blurry. We are here indefinitely. This feels like a new chapter in life and maybe a fresh start.
»I’m almost to 50% of my fundraising goal to mitigate the fallout from closing permanently and have a chance and dealing with shop debt and having a fresh start . I’m thankful to those who have donated. If you could help , please donate or share. Learn more at www.gofundme.com/pioneerpetdavid link in bio

That’s all folks. It was a great 8 years but the effects of the pandemic were too much. If you would like to show your support and help please check out the GoFundMe I was encouraged to start. Anything helps. I’ll miss being at your service. My sincere Love and thanks

This is not an easy decision. I’m finding it necessary to social distance/self quarantine/mental health break. I don’t have any symptoms, but I want to be mindful about my health and safety and those of others. The shop cats will be coming home with me during this time Thank you everyone for your patience and understanding while I figure out next steps. 🖤 #covid_19 #pandemic
