I am not pushing you away and I wanted to let you know that I am not planning on letting you go. But instead, I am giving myself an ultimatum to move as fast as I possibly can to be with you.  You’re right; I have been taking small steps but don’t miss the point that I am actually taking them.  

I fell in love with you so easily.  I am very grateful to have met you because of you I now know that the kind of man I want does exist.  The way you hold me and kiss me in the light of day and the way you keep me safe and let me be wild.  I trust you like no one else.  My entire body trusts you.  

You made me start to believe in real love and in it’s possibilities as you would suggest that you might want them yourself.  I started to rethink and re-imagine.  You made me realize that loving doesn’t mean holding on but letting the person be themselves—to be free.

Thank you for letting me be me and for all the patience you have given me and our relationship.  I promise you, 2017 is our year and our beginning.
