still thinking about how absolutely fucking resigned to what's happened fadel is. especially because we know him to be capable of being angry, of being annoyed, and of really showing it - i mean, just a few weeks ago, he literally dragged style out of his restaurant. but what happens instead?

he comes back inside, he turns the music on and wants to dance, to be romantic. he is so genuine in that moment, walking style through his feelings and telling him he's pretty sure he is in love. he says "look, this is all of me, on offer to you, here's my bleeding heart" because he will not get a chance to say it in the future anymore. to ease into it. and he had plans, you know. he was sure they would have all the time in the world and he would show style just how much he means to him, but all of that is shattered now. at least he gets a chance to say it. he hides his face and cries because he has already let himself believe that he can have a normal life with someone he loves, but it was all an illusion.

and the most heartbreaking part? even if it was an illusion, he wants to hold onto it just a moment longer. hold onto style just a moment longer. because he fell in love. again. and got his heart broken. again. and he is just so tired.

by far one of the most entertaining aspects of we are is that at the beginning none of the characters are technically in the same genre. tan is in an enemies to lovers romcom. fang is in a family romance drama. q is in a slice of life show. toey is in a drama romance with a secret admirer subplot. chain is in a classic friendship sitcom. pun is not aware he's in a show. phum is in a 'traumatized soft protagonist that seems harsh learns to love again' show. peem is in uni.

pond naravit, at 5 am bangkok time, retweets his director new siwaj's reminiscences of the long journey across companies that 'we are' had to go on since 2021. how lucky we all are that the series ended up at gmmtv and gave us the cast that it gave us. pond clearly feels very grateful for it too. so anyone who is feeling sad about the series ending, you can at least take comfort in the fact that you are not alone, and not just amongst fans. pond clearly loves 'we are', just as much as the director who has had to fight for the series for years does, and just as much as we all do (which is a lot).
