WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT
IS IT POSSIBLE THAT APOLLO'S TREATMENT OF ATHENA IN TURNABOUT FOR TOMORROW IS BECAUSE OF KRISTOPH.
Like. Hear me out.
Apollo's already had one person he worked with turn out to be a murderer without him even suspecting anything as of Turnabout for Tomorrow. Apollo didn't suspect a thing about Kristoph until after Phoenix accused him of murdering Shadi Smith/Zak Gramarye. THEN half a year later he found out Kristoph was actually behind evidence forgery, two murders, and an attempted murder. All without Apollo's knowledge.
If there's even a hint of suspicion that one of his CURRENT coworkers is a murderer, let alone his best friend's murderer? I can't blame him for how he responded to Athena being accused of Clay's murder given he'd already had his ex-boss get accused of murder. It adds depth to Apollo literally begging Phoenix to prove Athena innocent too; Phoenix is the one who proved Kristoph to be guilty of murder twice, not necessarily Apollo. Apollo was just the one who made Phoenix's findings public knowledge, since Phoenix couldn't at the time.
Like I think looking at Apollo’s response to Athena being accused of Clay's murder is a fantastic example of how Apollo’s trauma from Kristoph (because you cannot convince me it doesn't exist) affects his relationships with his coworkers (possibly even just people he's close to). He mentions multiple times (I think multiple times anyway) that he doesn't WANT to believe Athena's guilty of Clay's murder, and begs Phoenix to prove her innocence because he's so genuinely upset by the idea that she might be guilty, both because if she is, that would make her the second person he's worked with who's guilty of murder, and because he wants to believe she's innocent but the evidence says she's guilty.
I don't know if the phantom knew about the whole Kristoph thing and Apollo being Kristoph's protégé before he was Phoenix's, but the phantom seems like the kind of person to use someone's trauma against them, so it wouldn't surprise me if the phantom somehow knew about Kristoph's relationship to Apollo and used that against him (since it is the phantom who forged decisive evidence against Athena).
#Ooooooooo#Willing to bet this is the case#ace attorney#It makes everything make so much more sense omg

Hey, the ACLU is getting people to send letters to your Reps to have Congress pass the No Kings Act.
This act would make constitutional amendments to ensure that even sitting presidents are held liable for their actions. That NOBODY is above the law.
Their goal is 150k messages sent and at the time of writing this they're about 2.1k off from that goal!
ACLU gives you a prefilled message that you can edit to send to make the process easier, and will send it out for you.
This only takes a few minutes!

A post about applying animations/poses onto characters that they were not made for (w/ Ace attorney model rips)
Because although the poses for a character are stored with the character they're meant for, there's nothing stopping you from giving them to someone else, and I've been having fun with it 🎉
First, for reference, characters with one of their own poses (...although perhaps at some slightly different angles than they're intended to be seen):
I suppose it shouldn't be surprising that the greater the difference in proportion the characters have, the weirder a swapped pose will come out. This especially applies to faces, because the bones will be placed as if it were for the expected character which uh. screws em up a bit. BUT it's very possible to tweak them into something that works!
Here's those same poses shuffled to someone else, with a little tidying up (It's really fun to actually?? :o)
And here's the unmodified versions of the switched poses, if you're curious:
I don't know what about Klavier's face makes Athena's jawbone jam into her skull in such a way - yes. yes that was part of the problem. that bone should not be there. (also the fact that earring movement translated to making apollo's wrist twitch like that fascinating)
While the lads weren't much work off the bat, everything with Athena's face and hair was so mangled I cleared most of the animation there and just did it myself. An very interesting way of getting practice in, that's for sure. I also made the oversight of giving the earring-batting animation to the one that doesn't have an earring so I made his hair twitch instead. working with apollo's hair is great actually
Synchronised falling
(i've been given too much power. as soon as the falling over stops being part of a dramatic moment in the game its comedy value increases tenfold)
Also here's Klavier with that Apollo folded arms pose while I'm at it. Gave me a jumpscare bc it has such Kristoph vibes
Anyway it's great fun giving some of my favourite lil guys' mannerisms to each other so i hope you found it fun too 👍

Happy birthday Phoenix! Managed to finish him and Miles in the Mario & Luigi RPG artstyle in time!
(This style is fun, but still trying to figure out how to shade to be more accurate to it)
