And what you might experience/witness during this period is the 'dark night of the soul'; the slow destruction of all that is not you (be it toxic overthinking, addictions, compulsive behaviors, negative emotions, trauma etc.) And it's not a very comfortable experience to say the least. Not everyone has to go through it (because it all comes down to your childhood conditioning).
