spinner sharks are named for their unique method of hunting, in which they make a spinning leap out of the water. they grow to be up to 3 metres(~10 ft) in length. spinners can be found in coastal-pelagic waters in the atlantic, mediterranean, and west-indo pacific. they feed mainly on bony fishes and cephalopods. the tips of adult spinner sharks' pectoral, back dorsal, anal, and lower caudal fins usually have black or dark grey tips.
