With modern horizon III - Washizu Toshiya piloted an 8-Cast Affinity deck to a 3-0 finish at a Modern tournament. The deck leverages the powerful synergy of artifact-based strategies and features Kappa Cannonneer.
It is a difficult threat to answer that also has evasion built in. On top of that, the deck draws cards like crazy.

I was known for playing chain of smog combo in Leuven and this is a very spcy deck that top 8ed a [small japanese tournament](https://www.hareruyamtg.com/en/deck/696658/show/). Of course it packs the rescaminator package as well so maybe there is that !?

I sleeved twiddle storm for FNM of 15-03 and took this deck from hareruya for a spin. I usually don't play the full 4 wishes but wanted to give it a try. In general I think it's better to have a more streamlined version and wouldn't put the 4 cards in the mainboard again.

Nic Fit 5-0
I'm a big NicFit fan and I can't hold it when I stumble across a 5-0 list like this one from BobButtons.
Usually, NicFit are pretty cold against combo decks and usually have mindbreak traps in the side. I don't own those but I think they're not especially good.
This list is pretty cool because it managed to add FOW main and 6 cantrips to support it. In previous lists I've already seen Brainstorm wich is great when the trigger of Veteran explorer goes on the stack and I was wondering myself if there wasn't something to be had with Up The Beanstalk but I'm not that great of a brewer myself.
2 Murderous Cut, 4 Fow, 4 Lorien Revealed and 4 GSZ can all trigger the Beans, that's a total 14 cards!
In the side you have the usual culprits (Pernicious Deed, Back to Basics) but also a few specials like Golgari Charm that I've also used in some of my NicFit decks. Finally a card I've never seen before is Selkie Hedge-Mage wich allows some bounce shennanigans with GSZ!
Lands(19) 1《Bayou》 1《Lair of the Hydra》a 4《Misty Rainforest》 1《Phyrexian Tower》 2《Polluted Delta》 2《Snow-Covered Forest》 2《Snow-Covered Island》 2《Snow-Covered Swamp》 2《Tropical Island》 1《Underground Sea》 1《Verdant Catacombs》 Ceatures(11) 1《Eternal Witness》 1《Ice-Fang Coatl》 1《Leovold, Emissary of Trest》 1《Outland Liberator》 1《Questing Beast》 1《Titania, Protector of Argoth》 1《Uro, Titan of Nature's Wrath》 4《Veteran Explorer》 Spells(30) 1《Assassin's Trophy》 4《Brainstorm》 4《Cabal Therapy》 4《Force of Will》 4《Green Sun's Zenith》 1《Grist, the Hunger Tide》 4《Lórien Revealed》 2《Murderous Cut》 2《Ponder》 4《Up the Beanstalk》 Sideboard Cards(15) 1《Back to Basics》 2《Force of Negation》 2《Golgari Charm》 1《Nihil Spellbomb》 2《Pernicious Deed》 1《Scavenging Ooze》 1《Selkie Hedge-Mage》 3《Surgical Extraction》 2《Thoughtseize》

Shoyu chicken
This shoyu chicken recipe from ThatDudeCanCook is a banger:
Tumblr media
It goes like this:
equal parts water/soy sauce to cover the chicken
1 cup brown sugar
green onions
ginger
garlic
4 chicken thighs
Bring to a light simmer, throw the chicken in and let it cook for.. 35minutes. Let it cool for another 30. Remove the chickens and add some starch to the sauce to make it saucy.
Pro tip, you can also pat the chicken dry and fry it in the end to have it extra crispy!
Yummy!

I love green stompy decks and I stumbled upon this list that takes a slightly different route by combining it with the initiative. source: https://www.mtgo.com/en/mtgo/decklist/legacy-league-2023-03-18#deck_hunden
Natural order has some juicy targets for different matchups: - Atraxa for card advantage - Tyranax for a quick clock - Apex Altisaur to fight big threats This is extended with 2 classics in the sideboard: progenitus and archon The list also trades chalices for trinispheres which means you can always cast your cards

Last weekend was emjati enternal weekend and I noticed a lot of players were on combo. 4 people sleeved sneak & show and I was considering bringing a show and tell deck myself to just be as fast as possible. I finally opted for Cephalid Breakfast but something I considered in the building process was playing Leyline of Sanctity.
Tumblr media
Here we see 4 and I'm considering it more and more in the decks that can support it. It hinders storm, disables the pings from bowmasters and you can't get scammed.
Is that were we are at right now ?
Time will tell I suppose, but I am glad they are so beautiful thanks to their re-print in Eldraine.

Happy show & telling

I love vintage stompy decks. Here [@Mister_Lotus](https://twitter.com/Mister_Lotus/status/1713182013224861733) changed the stock list by playing a Glowrider, a Thorn of Amethyst and a Lotr Eagle.
With the big card pool, Glowrider was something I hadn't heard of!
Very cool!

I love combo decks! This devoted druid one piqued my interest because it plays 3 copies of Primal Command.
What a blast! Despark is not bad to remove the ring. And of course, Summing Trap to catch counterspell players off guard.

Some people still play saheeli + felidar guardian combo in modern. I'm happy to see that @Nicolol237 continues to slam the deck.

I'm a big fan of omnitell in legacy and there is a somewhat similar combo in premodern I did not know existed.
Here you show and tell or tinker Phyrexian Devourer into play and fling it to your opponent.

Deck.dump week 22
Here are a few fun decks I found on the interwebz lately
Legacy
I love @pow22mtg's brews and this one is defenitely something. I love cheating big dumb things into play so I might sleeve it up sometime.
I continue with another of his crazy brews with staff and triumph of st kat:
aminatou is the cherry on the cake!
As a bonus, here is his take on atraxa no show:
Modern
I'm still a big fan of simic reclamation and I try to keep up with all the lists. Here is a very nice deck that's elegant in its simplicity.
Aspiring spike has been brewing a lot lately with his take on amulet ramp decks, here @Bob449449 has a small improvement:
Pioneer
I've tried a few times to make extra turns work and I closely follow what other peeps do in pioneer. Here is a fun list with chandra as a top end to have some extra copies of your extra turns:
