As a Quebecois i came to a conclusion: i think that there should be Athenian swear words invented by populations who are against the huge influence of the order (Small history lesson below the cut)

And i think it would be funny as hell if Maya somehow learned about those and said them and literally no one else knows what the fuck shes talking about

Basically if you dont know, sacres (Canadian french swear words) were invented back when the church had strong influence among the general population. The sacres were swear words created from church words that shouldnt be said cause of the « you cant say holy words in vain » thing. They were slightly altered versions of those words (kinda like saying gosh instead of god) so the people who said it didnt get in trouble. Nowadays, the influence of the church isnt as big at all but we still use the sacres regularly
