In my art history class we recently got to the high renaissance bit of unit three and it’s SO COOL.
We did a test today, and tomorrow I think we will begin the transition into mannerism and BAROQUE!!! YAY!!!!
In honor of mannerism and actually passing my AP class, I share this lovely piece. Here’s some basic info about it:

Amazing piece omg. I’ve seen it described as mournful and I think that’s very accurate, it really accentuates the grief associated with the death of Christ. Super cool. What do you think of when you see it? Btw, it would have been put above the entrance of a church, just over the altar.
