A link popped up on my google for allkpop so I clicked. It’s been a while since I’ve been on the site so I scrolled down. It’s had a quiz, it reads:

Guys we’ve been wrong the whole time Suga is Splenda.

Want to get this out (Long Rant)
Just really started getting into BTS. Now I understand all the shit that BTS has gone through. And why the army are very protective of them. Like antis or other artist can really be that toxic? Well yes. It’s so sad especially knowing that many artist in kpop put in work but for another artist to put them down and say that their music (r&b/pop/rap/hip hop) is not those genres...is so sad. Or that their looks stop them from being successful.
Like anyone that has an idea on kpop or even listens to it know of the “Big 3” (trust me been listen to kpop since 2008/2009) so the cloud of what’s the “best” and what’s “not” has always be a staple in that industry.
During that time (early 2000s-2010’s) some artists were part of controversies, accidents, lawsuits or more. We wouldn’t know of it until a cancelled tour, concert, a hiatus or if a blog talked of it. Many kpop fans are international and or don’t speak Korean so yeah language barriers. But now we have more technology then the previous years. We have more artist that struggle than get the money they very well deserved, this doesn’t even include the people who have not debut yet or will never debut, companies banking on a group they didn’t hype or put the effort into (we all know at least 2 groups that debuted but the company did nothing with for months to years), companies breaking up groups (forced or not), and mental health issues being a common trait to many if not all at one point.
But to just say that a group from a small company is not good because of looks, or they aren’t masculine enough for the genre they present is fucking dumb. Music is emotion. How you present your life or what you want to accomplish. Struggle is a common trait that many artist have and for them to show it in their songs or other outlets is great. They want to take you on a journey whether it’s fun or not.
Also I don’t know if you remember this but breaking and STAYING into the American music market is hard. Look at the past kpop artist(s) that have tried and it was either a dud or successful. Bi rain, BOA, Girls generation, Psy just to name a few but you get the point. (I do listen to them so don’t come for me) The ones listed are apart of one in the “Big 3” so you can even say that they could have gotten a “boost” in sales but no it don’t always work like that. Their companies put in the work just like BTS’ did.
What they are doing is not hurting anyone physically or taking away another person coin. That’s an accomplishment they put on that you can’t take away. So the hate is unnecessary. So if you don’t like a group, good, don’t listen but don’t trash their pages, send death notes, threaten to blow up concert venues or such. Cuz you know what? That makes you an asshole.
Peace ✌️
