Wow I’m sorry I didn’t mean to disappear like that Lovelies! Sometimes I forget depression and writers block are a thing until they punch me in the face and force me to go MIA for a hundred years! I guess I’m back? I hope? Fingers crossed? Anyway, I’m sorry this isn’t a TVD fic but I figured Y’all would appreciate something over nothing. I missed you all more than I can say! I hope you enjoy, I love you all!

Description: Draco and y/n are best friends until Draco’s father threatens y/n. She avoids Draco until he confronts her.

Your heart stings from across the courtyard, the gap between you and the blonde boy tangible. For a second you don’t know whether or not your heart is even in your chest anymore or if it’s in his hands. In that case your heart is sitting on a bench, sandwiched between Blaise Zabini and Vincent Crabbe. Maybe he isn’t holding your heart, though, maybe he is your heart, in which case you’re avoiding your heart’s piercing gaze. 

Your hands twitch at your sides, itching to grab his or to twist through his silky hair or do anything other than lay idle when he is only mere steps away from you. Your hands ache to touch him and usually you would be doing just that: clinging to his robes or twisting the rings around on his fingers or simply tangling your own fingers with his slender ones. Your hands feel painfully empty without him to hold on to. 

That makes sense though, he’s your best friend after all. You’re rarely ever spotted less than five feet away from each other. Everyone at Hogwarts can see how utterly entwined you are, every part of him wrapped around your finger and every part of you sitting precisely in the palm of his hand. You orbit each other, drawn in by a gravity that the rest of the student body can’t deny.

Right now, though, that gravity is being tested and everyone feels a little bit like they’re floating away.

Klaus is shocked every time he hears one his siblings spill out incredibly obscure details about drugs Klaus didn’t even know about until he was pretty deep in his shit. They know about every single drug there is, and every exact dose that is “acceptable” and fatal for someone of Klaus’ stature. Eventually he realizes that they know all these things because of him, for him, and he breaks down in tears.

- 5/5.  Harry Potter is dead. Voldemort enacts a repopulation effort. Hermione has an Order secret, lost in her mind, so she is sent as an enslaved surrogate to the High Reeve until her mind can be cracked. Post-war fic. I lost my mind at this one. Insanely good writing. Super dark so read the warnings. Made me want to reread pretty much straight away. Best last line I’ve ever read. TW: Rape.

- 5/5. War fic. "Life isn't always black and white, Granger. There are just shades of grey," Hermione learns about the price of forgiveness and trust when Draco Malfoy joins the Order, three years in to the war. Love, love, love this one. The plot-twist is just amazing. And Teddy is in it!

- 4/5. Post-war fic. Draco Malfoy's been ruined by this war and he's as out of place as she is and — yes, he has scars too. He's got an even bigger one. She wonders whether one day they'll compare sizes. Did take me a while to get into but so worth it. A fandom favourite! Set at Hogwarts after the war. 

Wait and Hope - mightbewriting - 95k 

-4/5. Hermione wakes up after an accident and has forgotten that she is married to Draco, she thinks she still hates him. This fic is super cute! Love the characterization, and the whole Slytherin group is there! Has sequels which is always great. 

Beautiful Things Can Come From the Dark - yesterdayschild4 - 136k 

- 4/5. Super dark. He found her, broken and bleeding, and it would change everything. Set in school, Hermione is attacked by a death eater, Draco is very conflicted when he finds her. Loved the whole hurt/comfort vibe. TW: Rape.
