this whole "proship" thing bothers me immensely because nobody knows how to curate their online experiences anymore. If something has the appropriate trigger warnings and is kept in its own space, and you decide to look at it anyways and get triggered, that's on you. if you harass them instead of blocking and moving on, that's on you. people have the right to create whatever they want even if it bothers you. putting characters in traumatizing situations doesn't hurt any real people. of course, if they aren't applying appropriate warnings that's an issue, but it's not a problem because of the content, it's a problem because of the negligence of the creator. and what REALLY makes me sick are the threats people make towards others who create things they find gross. people do not deserve to DIE because they created something you find icky. and they ABSOLUTELY do not "deserve" their trauma if they create those things to cope. are you kidding me? telling someone they deserve everything bad that happened to them just because they wrote about it in a way that makes you uncomfortable? are you HEARING yourself? people deserve to die or be raped because they wrote about it happening to characters? characters that aren't real and therefore cannot be hurt? you cannot dictate how other people cope. I believe that fiction is a healthy outlet for those kinds of thoughts and feelings, even if I find it disgusting or it makes me uncomfortable. if you, the reader, aren't ok with that, that's fine. you can block me. that's what I've been recommending this whole time. if you can't handle something or someone being in your online space, get them out of there!! It's not within your rights to try and force them to stop doing what they want in their own spaces, but it is within your rights to curate your own space. make use of the block and filter functions on this site, they're one of the few things that actually work here.

i just lost my medical insurance for being governmentally recognized as transgender.

my head's never been so quiet. there's just nothing. my head is empty. i'm out of ideas and will. i'm out of motivation. everything is gone. there's nothing left. i feel so empty and numb. i can't even cry over this. there's nothing i can do. i don't feel anything. i'm not sad, i'm not angry. i just feel defeated. the government hates me and there's nothing i can do about it. i was sitting in my room for an hour just staring at my bed after i found out. there's nothing i can do. i've lost hope. i just want to be normal so the government doesn't do shit like this. i don't know if i'll ever medically transition. if things don't get fixed, i might have to governmentally detransition too. is this really what people voted for? is this what people wanted? i'm fucked. all i can do is sit in my room and stare. there's nothing in my head. everything you're reading is all i've thought about for the past hour.
