a few tips about favela5/brazilian culture if you want as reference to write fics

forever and mike have very strong accents, but forever's carioca accent tends to make him drag the words or extend consonants or add almost a hiss (categorized by the dragged -s) sound at the end of a word, while mike has a very strong center-west accent, meaning that his -r is very accentuated

pac and cellbit are from the south of brazil

although cellbit is from rio grande do sul, he doesn't have a southern accent, instead he has a paulista (from são paulo) accent, which is considered very neutral

brazilians tend to be very touchy, so if this is something u want to work with and showcase as a cultural difference, go crazy.

brazilians love to hug/touch and kiss people on the cheek to greet them.

black coffee. none of that iced vanilla late americanized shit. if you want to talk about their coffee habits, it's almost always going to be no sugar or milk and hot.

brazilians can understand almost everything in spanish, esp mexican spanish. the same doesn't apply to spanish speakers because portuguese has phonemes that don't exist in spanish. so like how cellbit said once, he can understand 90% of everything that roier says, while roier said he can understand 20%

So earlier, when Phil said, "the moon is out," Cucurcho just flat out said "No" in response. Phil even had him clarify, "That's not the moon?" while he looked up toward the moon that's clearly above the. And Cururucho again just said "No."

And when Phil asked what the thing in the sky even was, if it's not a moon, Cururucho just said "I don't know." The topic sort of dropped off at that point, but... of all the answers to that question, that's definitely an unsettling one.

man i love foreshadowing. like especially the sort of foreshadowing that nobody will ever pick up on.

if you've been keeping up with my current qsmp fic on ao3 (kids who lived), you've probably recognized that i am a BIG fan of heavy foreshadowing. like, a big fan. but i don't even think you realize i've been foreshadowing major plot points and lore drops in the most subtle fucking ways. the weather? bet you didn't think that was involved. repeated/frequently used colours? that's important, too. generalized consistent temperature of the island? ...oh boy. i LOVE that sort of foreshadowing, because even if somebody finds it, nobody knows what to do with it.

I’ve been thinking of writing an apocalypse qsmp au ever since I read “kids who lived” by petalsfrompluto on ao3 and I think I’m gonna do like a thing where Wilbur finds and communicates with the different members through a radio he finds

The man was an imposing figure that loomed in her doorway, silhouetted in red light. Smoke billowed like a warning behind him.

“Why are you here?” She signed, hands quivering so hard she wondered whether the words came out clear.

The man only tilted his head, as if trying to decipher the words. Perhaps he couldn’t speak sign language at all. In a clear, very human and not automated voice, he said, “Come on. You should leave before reinforcement comes.”

The man was something from a complete other world—not one of white walls and orderly schedules and chilling experiments, but one of endless forest and devastating virus and calamity.

She wasn’t sure which sounded worse.
