I had left updating society6 for last 'cause it's the shop with the lowest artist return rates, and while I kept it for the convenience of their more affordable items, it was financially pointless on my end.

Turns out they decided to put us both out of our misery by inviting the hoi polloi to kindly leave (non-optional) in what will surely be another very popular move in a series of exclusively successful business practices, like the 2023 subscription plans limiting your "free" shop to 10 items.

I don't think I ever managed to post anything on the 1st, hoping this year allows me some consistency, so here's an inaugural doodle of my favorite child 🔥☀️

Well, Nina's gone. I was hoping we'd get at least another xmas with her, but she had to be put down on the 22nd. She fell in the yard and couldn't get up from the pain, which even morphine wasn't handling anymore. It was a bleak xmas, fit for the year.

Slivers of good news though, I did manage to consult with an arrhythmia specialist, and while I still need to get more tests done next year, he said he's 99% sure it's not congenital and won't need surgical intervention, which is such a massive relief.

And since Nina's treatment won't accumulate anymore, I managed to negotiate with the vet clinic to extend me more installments, which by a hair's breath eased my bills enough I won't need to refinance or get a loan.

So, thank you again for everyone who helped me out. Some of you gave me such generous tips it single-handedly covered the specialist and labs and I'm incalculably grateful.

I hope next year is, if not measurably better, at least perceptibly gentler.

But really I hope it's just fucking better.

trying to update Ko-Fi but the clap of female nipples in my art etc

I'm getting hit with these literally by the minute.

I understand the need for automated detection systems but the fact female breasts are considered pornographic by default, more than annoying as an artist, is insulting as a woman.

Sexualised and non-sexualised nudity are very distinct things and it's so aggravating that just bare female chests are still considered adult content when male chests are not.

I'm not blaming the platforms, this consideration is out of their control, but it's insufferable to have to constantly appeal and censor stuff that otherwise would not have been flagged if it were exactly the same but depicting men.
