In real life, when we meet new people we do not use a mathematical algorithm to see if we would go on a date with them. Its more subjective and subtle.
Also, most people meet each other via common friends.
Online dating websites have a disconnect. They do not leverage the power of social networks the way we do in real life. If you find your friend's friend cute, chances are you will ask your friend about her and may be request him to set you up. This is reality of life. Online dating websites do not replicate this simple and highly successful principle. This results in what is called the "creep factor" of online dating website.
We thought about it. And then we built Perppl.
How does Perppl work?
Create a date on Perppl. Be it for a foreign language film you want to watch or just to check out that summer sale or simply for a coffee. Your friends and friends of friends on perppl will see your posting. If a friend of a friend wants to go out with you, they will ask the mutual friend to introduce them to you. And that’s it. It’s that simple.
