Peri didn't even have time to answer, before he was swept away and licked.

His eyes widen into saucers, not having expected this at all. He knew his anti-fairy had a few screws loose, but this was just too out of the ordinary!

"Irep-- Irep!! Stop, you're acting like an idiot!" He yelped out, trying to free himself from the grasp of the beast, but it was no use. He's coated in mud and dust now, his clothes a mess and sprinkles gone from his face.

"fine, you asked for it...!" The fairy reaches into his pocket, taking out the collar which seemed far too small for Irep now. However, as he went on to attempting to put it on- his hold on it slipped, and it was soon buried under the hairy beast.

"No! Agh, control yourself, you said you'd be coming home--" was this his end, then? Smothered to death by someone ten times his size and high on catnip?? He'd have to try and think of something to counter this and get the collar on, and Irep back to normal.

Poofing into the park, Peri looks around cautiously- but it wasn't hard to find the huge hulking blue beast.

Taking in a deep breath, Peri approached him, holding a fist in his pocket. He had to bring in some catnip in his pocket just in case...

"Heyyyy, so... ready to put the collar back on? Or do I need to bribe you...?" He took out the pack of catnip, and waved it in front of him.

When Peri returned, the beast was in the middle of chasing a squirrel. He nearly had the clever rodent, gnashing his teeth as it scurried up a tree. A thick branch snapped in his powerful jaws like a twig, and he snarled as he prepared to climb up after it, sinking his huge, sickle-shaped claws into the bark and pulling them down, tearing through it like butter.

And then he smelled Peri—and not just that, but something fresh and minty. His eyes widened and his nostrils flared, cocking his head owlishly to stare at him and the herbs in his hand.

Finally he backed away from the frightened squirrel, swishing his tail as he marched over on his fours to sit in front of the fairy, a low (though not too aggressive) growl rumbling in his throat. For such a large creature, his footsteps were oddly quiet. His massive paws were heavily padded, and he moved with the grace of a tiger stalking its prey. His "prey" of course being the plants he was offered, NOT the fairy himself.

"Been waiting a while," he spoke gruffly. Due to his larger size, his voice was a lot deeper than it typically was. A cloud of cool air escaped his nose, and a toothy grin formed on his face.

"Can't risk DALE of all people seeing me like this at his house-- well, his AU-pairs would probably--... What are you holding?"

The smell was getting to him, for the curiosity was too much to bear. He HAD to have it. And instead of waiting longer for Peri to TELL him what it was, he grabbed the fairy in a fist and licked him along with all the catnip out of his hand.

Honestly.. he wasn't even certain WHY he did that. It came out of nowhere! Maybe the beast side of him truly was more unpredictable than he thought..

But he kept at it, grooming him like a cat would its kitten. His eyes were blown wide and his tail wagged merrily behind him. What joy! Peri had brought him a GIFT. A fun one at that! It made him very, very happy. In fact, he was so happy he started to roll over in the dirt, taking the fairy along with him. He covered himself (and his tiny companion) in soil and purred up a storm.

So, what was it like getting groomed by a pretty much a pointier giant cat?

VERY MUCH NOT FUN, HE LICKED OFF ALL THE SPRINKLES AND MY HAIR IS A MESS- I SMELL LIKE SQUIRREL BREATH!

oh- hah, yeah, it kinda just does that on it's own! If I let it be just a pony tail, it'd be sort of wavy?

Oh so your hair curls back up right away? Mhm have you ever tired and another hair style tho like a ponytail or a bun?

I usually put up a ponytail whenever I exercise- though, right now I put it up in preparation to getting Irep back. And maybe chasing after him.

But I don't think promises of pets would work, since from his posts he does still seem to have his senses and because I wouldn't want to touch his fur- you can't know where he's been y'know?
