…Not a phrase I imagined myself typing today. But, via @heyMAKWA on Twitter:

“i'm not going to link any of them here, for a variety of reasons, but please be aware of what is probably the deadliest AI scam i've ever heard of:

“plant and fungi foraging guide books. the authors are invented, their credentials are invented, and their species IDs will kill you.”

…So PLEASE be careful if you run across anything of this kind.

just in case it breaches tiktok, someone is doing a gon.charov 2 basically. its called "zepotha" and it is yet another 'joke' based in acting as though a work of fiction that does not exist and never has is 100% real and claiming that people look "just like maxine from zepotha!!" and will not let up on the bit, and refuse to give real information about the topic (because there isnt any). if you see these "jokes" (which, if you are participating, please, please tag them as un.reality, without the period), you are not insane, the world is not warping to leave you out of information, or whatever other type of delusion this trend may trigger. this is a media that does not exist, and as such, no concrete information will ever be able to be found. you are okay

Support Maui, Hawai'i Residents During the Lahaina Wildfire Crisis

A series of wildfires exacerbated by hurricane winds and climate change has destroyed homes, historical sites, and natural flora in Lahaina, Maui. Thousands have been displaced, and lives have been lost.

WWC's mod Ren has put together a page outlining resources for residents displaced and affected by the wildfires, and for those who wish to support them during this crisis.

Daughter of fantasy villains decides to rebel against her parents by actually going through with her arranged marriage to a local golden retriever of a prince instead of running off with some local villain-to-be or conquering said golden retriever’s kingdom and ruling it solo like her parents expect her to. Plus, sue her, she’s into the clean-cut earnest look.

At the same time, local prince charming discovers that he’s actually very into the gothic fiance his parents have landed him with in order to try and establish peace with the local evil lair down the lane, he would never have guessed a spiderweb pattern could look so fetching on a ball gown…?

Meanwhile, two pairs of parents in a tizzy because they both expected their offspring to whole-heartedly reject this union and give them an excuse to conquer their goody-two-shoes/evil neighbours, they’re not supposed to actually like each other-!
