Well. There goes my heart.
Claustrophobia encased her chest like a vice, cold fingers of ice piercing Peridot’s body. They replaced the ribs she didn’t have, sinking into the core of her being. Shudders wracked the gem’s projection, literal eddies twisted their way through the hard light and cut off entire packets of information.
Bits of herself floated away, winking out of existence without even a spark. Sensory programs malfunctioned, plunging the technician into a horribly empty darkness. Sounds of distress were distorted, monstrous entities lurking in the shadow. Her fingers twitched spasmodically, seeking their anchors.
The jagged rend across the green gem’s head intermittently emitted electrical sparks, and wept a caustic viscous fluid. Her visor was shattered, small shards embedded in Peridot’s facsimile of flesh. Her eyes were wide open, but filled with a sickly blue, over which error messages scrolled. Jaw muscles clenched, driving her sharp teeth into each other, grinding and screeching with the force. Currents of lightning rode the length of her body, keeping away anyone’s helping hand.
Peridot’s gem was bored through by a spider web of deep cracks, and the gem itself emitted a high pitched glitched sound, like the tinkling of broken glass.
She could feel her projection failing, snapping into and out of existence like an elastic band. Screams built up tightly in her chest, but she couldn’t release them. Peridot’s body was rigid, machine limbs failing her. How had it all gone so wrong? Delirious thoughts raced through her crumbling mind. She had never regenerated before; where was Lapis? Was she safe? The cacophony of grating shrieking in her head began to quiet. Tactile sensation failed her, and Peridot felt like she was floating in a cold void.
It had only been a few moments. Dimly she became aware of… loss. Everything was fading away. This wasn’t supposed to have happened. There weren’t supposed to have been two of the creatures. Lapis wouldn’t have had time to escape the blow, and Peridot was expendable wasn’t she? Remorse flooded what remained of her systems, lights blinking out along ordained routes.
“You are a Peridot, you are one of many. You will be replaced when you inevitably fail.”
The mantra repeated over and over, like it had so many times in the past. She was replaceable. At least she had saved Lapis. An image of Lapis’s face started to tear at the edges. While all else dissolved at the seams, Peridot held onto that image with all she had left. Suffocating fear enveloped her, hot panic. Her body desperately tried to save itself, but it was a losing battle. Whole parts of her were purged, burned away into the void. Who was she? She was nothing.
Lapis was everything
Lapis was
lapis… and she was gone

I have a question for Amon: If a bender, from whom you took their abilities, wanted to join your equalists, would you let them, or you'd be too suspicious?
A bender would never want to join my revolution. However, if one wanted, i would allow them into the family of Equality for they share the same views as the rest of us do. I would allow them to keep their ability for it would give the Equalist movement a slight advantage against the Avatar.

Equality and Order
Months have passed ever since Noatak escaped the blast of the explosion that was caused by his brother who he had trusted after the Equalist movement had ended. Noatak brought his blood-covered hands into the shallow portion of the water that was pushing back and forth against the shore, the salt stinging his wounds, causing him to only wince slightly until his dark blue eyes caught quite glimpse of something: the mask that he had worn while he took the role of Amon, now cracked in half but still in a condition to be worn. The waterbender knelt down and picked up the damaged mask, the other half of it sliding off and being swept away by the waves that pushed against the shore. He sighed, glancing at the broken mask before putting it on once more, becoming Amon again.
Now, days have gone by ever since the mask covered his face as it did in the past. The Equalist had his hands clasped behind his back as he stood at the gates of Zaofu, gazing upon the insignia of the Earth Empire, realizing how much had changed. Amon approached the woman in charge of the Earth Empire, Kuvira--a slight smirk coming across his face that was partially hidden by the mask. This man was still obsessed with Equality and if he found an ally, he assumed that everything would work out for him. " Greetings, Great Uniter. " he stated in a calm tone, showing Kuvira that he was no threat to her Empire. At first.
