Life Of DC by Daniel Cheong Via Flickr: Follow me on Instagram | Facebook I recently posted a similar composite, but this time I decided to add a human element (me for that matter). So this picture is a composite of 3 different photos I took in Mauritius. The reflections were added. And the title is in reference to a famous movie, the tiger is missing though ;-)

Secluded by Pete Rowbottom, Wigan, UK Via Flickr: This is a location I've been meaning to do for some time now but for one reason and other just didn't get around to doing it, seeing as we were now allowed to go back to the Lakes again (now revoked again...) few of us finding ourselves free decided to have a ride up here and this place was on the agenda. Contrary to the weather forecast it decided to pour down at the time we had planned to visit so we got a good soaking walking here and shooting for the first 45 minutes or so until it cleared up and we got sporadic bursts of light. I really liked this spot which has plenty of possibilities but it isn't the easiest place to walk about or set up, a big thanks to Mike Tonge for bringing his golfing umbrella and holding it over me while it was still raining, a massive help in this location! I just need to find a way to stop my specs from steaming up at the same time now.... ! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Portfolio of images on my own website here -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

only in the darkness can you see the stars by wizard cg Via Flickr: Cheddar Gorge is a limestone gorge in the Mendip Hills, near the village of Cheddar, Somerset, England. The gorge is the site of the Cheddar show caves, where Britain's oldest complete human skeleton, Cheddar Man, estimated to be 9,000 years old, was found in 1903.

Galactic Bromo 2 by Daniel Cheong Via Flickr: Milky Way over Mount Bromo, East Java, Indonesia. This is a different composition than the previous one I posted recently. It was a portrait format. This one is a Vertical Panorama, shot in landscape mode. The top part (sky and Milky Way) is made from 9 exposures shot at ISO 16,000 f/4 15s and a dark frame, all of them stacked with Sequator, which does an amazing job removing the noise an enhancing the details. The bottom part (landscape) is a single exposure shot at ISO 3200 f/4 146s.

Bromo Rush Hour by Daniel Cheong Via Flickr: Beautiful starry night over Mount Bromo caldera. Lots of cars traffic too. This was shot at around 3am. The sunrise is at 6am, if you are not there 4 hours before, you don't have to chance to secure a good spot to put your tripod!

The Wreck
flickr
The Wreck by Daniel Cheong Via Flickr: My friends in Reunion Island will definitely know that this is a composite image! 😀 The wreck is the Isla Mauricia ship which was washed ashore in Grand Baie Beach, Mauritius, back in 2013. Unfortunately it has been dismantled since. To keep it 'realistic', I used a backdrop scene which was shot in Cap La Houssaye, Reunion Island, in the moonlight, which 'explains' the light on the boat and the not so visible milky way. The cutout of the ship was quite tedious, as there are so many ropes hanging around. It took me a few hours to achieve this. I always wanted to shoot a boat wreck under the milky way, so here it is!
