we should talk more about cities that are vampires. cities that are cold and wet and sink into your bones and stay there. cities that are hungry and want to live. dead cities that dont know they're dead and suck the life force of their people to maintain the delusion. cities with harbors that are actually mouths; one-way entries. cities that are devastatingly lonely and see consumption as love

I would be so proud to own such an attractively painted home, like this pretty 1890 lady in Dayton, Ohio. ($425K)

And, she continues to impress as soon as you walk thru the door. She’s been impeccably maintained.

She’s not a gigantic Victorian, but she sure is cozy.

Both sitting rooms are comfortable. Look at the perfect fireplace, and there’re also pocket doors.

Lovely dining room- don’t the pocket doors look beautiful closed? Such a pretty, sunny room.

Love the exposed brick in the kitchen.

How cute is the pantry?

On the 2nd fl., check out the fabulous window in the main bd.

A Victorian w/a walk-in closet. Now, that’s amazing.

The home has 4 beautiful bds.

Plus 2.5 baths. Isn’t this a wonderful remodel?

Bonus studio apt. in the attic. Very nicely done. I wouldn’t mind living up here.

Wow, look at the garden.

And as if this house for $425K doesn’t have enough to offer, there’s a rental cottage, too.

She tipped the rest of the contents of her glass down her throat and smiled at him. "Likewise, Mr. Lau." She set the glass on the table, rim down. "If you excuse me, I need to say hello to Mei--I did promise." She got to her feet, tucked her clutch under her arm and started to walk away, but paused by his chair. "Oh. There is one thing..." She paused long enough to check if she had his attention before smiling. "Friends don't have friends followed. Not even by charming little birds. Good evening, Mr. Lau."
