A note on my demigod headcanon series (Artemis and Hera)!
I am not doing Artemis or Hera, as maiden goddesses they don't have kids, but I think as a baseline for alternatives where they do have powers:
Hera: in theory could give a blessing to children who she likes or belives worthy, making them stronger or even semi-immortal.
Artemis: obviously has her hunters who are immortal, and also could perhaps give young girls who she likes an affinity with nature and natural skill with a bow/aiming.
Anyways that's all :]

"jason is a knockoff watered down percy" NO hear me out, jason actually parallels annabeth immensely, sharing SO many similarities with her personality, not percy, in this essay I will-

Crying in the club because I was just reminded of Clarisse La Rue and how she has one of the most heartbreaking stories in the PJO series. We meet her as the stereotypical bully character, but by book two we already start to see that her entire persona is just a flimsy mask to cover up how scared she really is. She’s surrounded by people, but by the end of the day, she feels completely alone, desperately trying to prove herself to a God who treats her like she's nothing. We get a glimpse of her true character when Chris Rodriguez returns, but it's only when she's holding the broken body of her only real friend that we fully see how exhausted she truly is. Her entire journey is realizing she’s worthy of love without having to fight for it and that she doesn’t need to hurt others to get noticed. She’s a messy character, but I love her so much.

hera apologist; controversial takes-01
do you guys ever think about hera. goddess of marriage, forced to watch other people get married and fall in love. do you think about the empty cabin at chb. do you think about how she's never strayed, even if her husband has. do you think about who she would've been without him. if she'd have been kinder. if she'd married a better man. if she'd learnt to find peace within herself. do you think about her, crying on the floor the first time her husband fucked a girl a decimal point of her age. how she doesn't cry anymore.
do you think about the goddess of marriage, married to a god who is barely married to her.

friendly reminder 🌕
so remember, Hecate?
Yeah, the actual queen and Goddess of Mist and Necromancy, also of Trivial Knowledge. She lost more children than any other god in the Second Titan war, on top of that was the case of Alabaster C. Torrington - who couldn’t attend camp since he would of polluted the mind of the other Hecate children, the few that remained. Even afer losing, the only way for her to have some respect was to lose another child after others died. Even then, the gods still don’t respect her enough to be in the hall, because she’s a Titan. The only one who does is Hades, who took a liking to her and you know why? Because he knows what it’s like to be a outcast and because she helped look after Persephone. Hecate has done so much but still doesn’t get a place in the hall?
Respect ☀️

Persephone Cabin Headcanons!!!
🌸 Persephone has few children. Maybe 5-6 people
🌸 They go emo mood in winter. Can't change my mind
🌸 They call Demeter childs "Aunt/Uncle" as joke
🌸 Their cabin are really spacious. The floral scent never fades.
☠️ Their relationship with Hades cabin is so cute. Grumpy × Sunshine on spring/summer and Grumpy × Grumpy on autumn/winter as siblings!
☠️ They summons ghost just to scare their mortal friends
☠️ Most of them listens "Pomegranate Lips" , and read "Touch of Darkness'" just to see how mortals described their mother
☠️ Can and will fight anyone who described Demeter as abusive mother.

Possibly a hot take, but I think the Tartarus trip actually helped Will a lot. Obviously I have my disappointments with the book, but we do not only see Nico healing from the copious amount of trauma Rick fit into him; we get to see Will come to terms with darker parts of himself.
It's canon/very heavily implied (I can't remember and don't feel like looking it up) he came to camp at a very young age, younger than campers that aren't deemed "powerful" or have a strong scent. Despite Will thinking he isn't strong, he is the best healer Camp Half Blood has seen in, what we can assume, at least a century. He's a year-rounder, so he hasn't experienced life on the outside in years. Hell, until Trials of Apollo, his godly parent hardly took notice of him.
His older brothers and other siblings were his biggest supporters and motivators. They looked out for him and took care of him in place of a parent, specifically the older kids (Lee and Michael.) And he lost them during the Dark Prophecy - less than 2 years apart from each other. He didn't even get to search for Michael because Percy took him for a joyride across Manhattan on a motorcycle to help Annabeth.
Even after all of that, its implied/seen that he's someone who is always looking on the bright side of things, never making anything about himself, always helping others, etc. He's a ray of sunshine in everyone's life, never allowing himself to show anyone that he's hurting or suffering because he feels like he just can't. After all, he's Will Solace. He is the head medic, the infirmary can't just stop running. He's the counselor for cabin, his siblings need him to be strong.
He represses his negative emotions, even admits to it in Trials of Apollo. I think he represses them to a point he can avoid/ignore them or pretend they aren't his. It's easier to be a ray of sunshine in people's lives if the negativity and darkness you feel are projected onto someone else.
These tendencies are also something that causes strain in Nico and Will's relationship, because Nico doesn't understand how Will can't see how hypocritical he is. When in reality, Will does know, but it's easier if he avoids it. Ignorance is bliss after all. This doesn't mean Will doesn't work on trying to let Nico in, because he does, sort of.
On bad days, the days when he wakes up and wants nothing more than to curl up in the arms of his older brothers, he would go to Nico's cabin. However, his only explanation would ever be, "im tired." It frustrated him just as much as it upset Nico. He wasn't even sure if his boyfriend could tell. (Nico could, but that didn't mean it hurt any less.)
In Persephone's garden, he was forced to face the fact that there is darkness/negativity/hurt inside of him. He can't deny it when it's right in front of him, so he finally has to stop repressing everything, stop running away, and face his pains.

Was reading a PJO/DC crossover fic and it inspired this cliche Batfam idea
Basically the mist is failing due to the increase of alien and supervillain attacks and people basically being unable to ignore the strange occurrences around them, both Greek and Roman camps made the decision to come out to the world.
Justice League have a meeting, with some League members being secret demigods or Legacies and trying to establish boundaries, which gets heated because Batman doesn’t know a healthy boundary even if it hits him in the cowl because these are children dying Diana, which results in a demigod League member going, “—and what do you know about training demigods Batman?”
Literally in that same second they get a call patched through by Oracle, saying something is happening in the Cave. Batman connects the call to video chat and in full prominent display all of Batman associates (re: children) have glowing symbols above their heads. With the knowledge of Greek symbols for their pantheon Bruce simply turns around to the shocked faces of those around him, eyebrow raised, and (internally smugly) goes, “Seems I know enough.”

Can you write about if Hera had a daughter at chb like how she would be and how people would react
Being a daughter of Hera HCs
note -> I love Hera bro Rick did her dirty. This turned more into being a daughter of hera HCs so i changed it to that sorry😭
warnings -> none.
content includes -> platonic! protective! Hera, idk what else to put.
Being a daughter of Hera is quite hard, your relationship with your mother would is complicated, you would feel a lot of pressure to uphold her mother's image, feeling the need that you always need to please her
Contrary to others belief Hera genuienly loves and cares about you, you are her one and only demigod child who she would do anything for, compared to most of the demigods you get to see your mother more often, in your dreams or reality, and while she does have high expectations for you she still cares about your well being, shes pretty protective of you
Being a daughter of Hera you would likely have a sense of authority and justice, you would be very loyal to your family, you might have a strong moral compass, but also a sharp temper when crossed, much like your mother, you would also likely have a strong sense of responsibility, always feeling like you must do the right thing
You would be the biggest talk of the camp, Hera doesnt have any mortal children and considering her reputation at the camp you wouldn't be very well liked at first, they didnt trust you one bit, especially Percy and Annabeth since they dislike Hera and saw you as trouble
There would be whispers about who your mortal parent is, considering the fact that Hera stays faithful to Zeus, but you try your best to ignore their comments and whispers
The chances of Zeus killing you if you stepped foot out of the camp are 100%, so unless you were going on a quest or somehow Hera made him promise not to hurt you you would have to be at the camp all year round
Your powers would included being able to manipulate the weather and shapeshift just like your mother is able to, but you would also be able to command respect and admiration in social situations, it is an active one, you could influence and manipulate people's emotions subtly, especially when it comes to loyalty or trust
Over time, as you prove yourself, you would likely earn the respect of the other campers, but there might always be a layer of fear or awe regarding you considering your mothers reputation as a goddess of revenge and loyalty
Some demigods might come to you for advice about family matters, given your divine connection to the goddess of marriage and family
You might find yourself unintentionally forming you own group consisting of kids from different cabins who are drawn to your authority and leadership, this new group could act as a neutral council within the camp, where issues about family dynamics, justice, and fairness are resolved
You are a natural mediator in conflicts between other demigods, especially when it comes to disputes between families or friends, you would be respected for your fairness, though you could also make enemies if your decisions don’t sit well with everyone
At some point you might go on a personal quest to redeem your mothers reputation, especially if other campers constantly throw Hera’s past deeds in your face, you might seek to undo some of the damage Hera caused, whether it’s helping mortals affected by your mothers wrath or finding a way to prove that shes different from the stories
Some campers might be hesitant to get close to you, fearing that befriending you might attract Heras attention, Hera is known for her jealousy and punishments, and campers might worry that their own families could be drawn into your mothers web of divine politics
There might be whispers that Chiron and the other leaders give sou special treatment due to her mothers status as queen of the gods, this could cause resentment among the campers, especially the children of lesser gods, who might feel overlooked in comparison, especially if they learn how often your mother talks to you

Is it possible to dislike Hera, but like Juno? Because I think that's what's happening to me. Hera in the original books felt judgy. She reminded me of my horrible, horrible maternal grandmother. But Juno in the Heroes of Olympus… Juno sounds like a goddess to feel good praying to. To quote the book: "Juno Moneta they once called me - Juno, the One Who Warns. Guardian of the State, Patron of Eternal Rome." Juno sounds like an amazing deity, and I offer all my prayers to her.
But really, I've been finding I seem to a bias towards the Roman Gods (besides Lupa, I don't like Lupa). But the Roman deities and the Roman Camp and Colours just sound more appealing. I hate both the Greek and Roman afterlives, but I still find myself liking the Roman stuff way more.

hurt my feelings earlier thinking about how jason would've absolutely been nico's best man.
whoever ends up being nico's best man (in my head it would be frank), would hold up a picture of jason, because if he was alive he wouldn’t miss it for the world. so it’s on them to make sure he’s there.

Friendly reminder that names have meaning in the pjo universe.
Percy/Perseus- to destroy or avenge, a Greek hero with a happy ending.
Leo/Leonidas - a spartan king who sacrificed himself to save his people.
Jason- healer/to heal, lead the argonauts to the Golden Fleece but died a painful death.
Thalia- an immortal muse of comedy and idyllic poetry.
Castor- to excel/to shine, killed while his twin brother survives (in the most common version of the myth).
Pollux- Crown/ very sweet, survives after his twin brother is killed.
