Oh - not everybody. Just some teams. There’re only four games - eight teams out of thirty-one - playing the first night, one of them being the Stanley Cup champs from last year. I think if we play hard enough, we’ve got a chance. But everybody’s got a chance. It’s not like… the NBA, with their stacked teams of champions. The NHL’s got really great players on every team. I’ve held it before - four times. It’s impressive as hell. And I like both of them for different reasons. LA’s home - my family’s there, friends from school, all that. But Vegas is… this city of debauchery and sin, and I kinda grew to love that. New Eden’s real different.
Oh, okay. That makes sense. Good luck for your first game, anyway! I hope it goes really, really well for you. Then you’ll just have to work the hardest so you can win it. Have you? Well that is awesome. I’ll rephrased, I hope you get to hold it again with your new team, that would be a really positive thing for you all. It seems they both hold a special place in your heart which is nice. Do you miss your family? How are you finding New Eden so far?

It starts on October third for us. There are some teams that play on the second, but… ya know. Not us. The Stanley Cup is the trophy for the NHL. Best team in the league wins the championship and gets the Stanley Cup. It is cool. It’s this massive thing… really a sight to see and hold. Originally, I’m from LA. But I spent the last handful of years in Vegas.
That’s so soon, are you excited?? How come you start a day later than everyone else? Do you think your team has a chance at it? Being the best team sounds like a really good accomplishment. I hope one day you get to hold it! Which do you prefer, LA or Vegas?

It’ll hopefully be before next season - I’m hoping that we grow as a team enough in time for the regular season to start. I haven’t given up on that hope for a run for the Stanley Cup. I think I’m too restless for your ways of relaxation. Scening would probably help, but I’m still a little skeptical of all of the scene clubs around here. Real lifestyle change for me, you know?
When does the regular season start? I’m sure if you all work hard enough, it will definitely happen for you. I have no idea what the Stanley Cup is but it sounds cool. I think most people are so that is totally understandable. Being new to a place can be a little overwhelming. Where are you from originally?

Taste Tester | Maria and Pepper
@drsantos
Pepper only ever cooked for herself or Adam, no-one else, so she was a little nervous for someone else to try her food, especially when it was dishes she had never tried to do before. She thinks she probably should have done a practice run before Wednesday rolled around but now it was too late as Maria was on her way. She had all the ingredients set out to be able to make Keto Taquitos, it was the dish she wanted to try the most and hoped it turned out well for her guest.
She had bought wine for the occasion, she had no idea if Maria drank but she liked a glass whilst she cooked. When she heard the knock at her door she smiled to herself and excitedly bounced over to the door to open it, grinning happily at her guest. “Hi, hi, come on in. Thank you for coming,” she says as he steps out of the way of her door to let her in.

Scoring definitely sounds like a positive thing. Maybe next season will be better for you all. And team work is great! Always got to look for the positives in life, right? I’m not sure my way of winding down and relaxing is for everyone. Reading, writing music, listening to music, going on walks, having a picnic. I like to do those types of things. But if you want to scene, you should go ahead and do that, definitely. It will help a lot, I’m sure.
There’s only two games left in the preseason, and, while I know it’s not looking too hot for us, we’re still scoring every game, which is more than some teams in the league can say for themselves. Plus, we’re getting closer and closer to a real game situation, working as a unit instead of a bunch of individuals. With that being said - who knows of a really great place to wind down around here? I want to go someplace after the team dinner, but I don’t have many ideas. Should I try out a scene club?

That is so cool, that you’re relate to an artist. Did you stick to the drawing? Or was that your one hit wonder of doing a drawing, peaking at the age of 2? Either way, it sounds fun. Especially for a 2 year old to be able to draw a basic idea of a tiger. And tiger’s are such cute animals.
I can’t say that I have, to be honest. People who can draw or paint or sculpt or anything of that are crazy talented and I appreciate that but words move me more. Songs and lyrics more so.
Today an interviewer asked me: “Miss Delacroix, what would you consider your fondest early memory?”
And I answered: the first time I had seen Eugène Delacroix’ lithograph: Royal Tiger. The image struck me so thoroughly—as did all of his romantic depictions of the natural world—that at the tender age of 2, I attempted to draw a tiger myself. Immédiatement. My work was amorphous, with appendages in places that defied physiology, but the orange and black colors were there. At the very least, in my precocious young age, I’d managed to create the basic idea of a tiger.
Imagine my surprise years later when I learned I was related to such a brilliant artist.
I am curious. Have you ever been thoroughly moved by a piece of artwork–visual or not–when you were little? What was it?

Then we should have some fun in the kitchen if you like it that much. When are you free then? We’ll plan it out. Is there anything you’re allergic to or anything you’re not a huge fan of when it comes to food?
I would really like that! I’m free at the weekend, if you are? Any day of the weekend is good with me so whenever you’re free I can work with. I’m not allergic to anything, and honestly I like pretty much everything when it comes to food. I’m not the biggest fan of tomatoes, but I can eat them depending how they’re made and what with. I can’t stand olives, though.

Sometimes I do have those.
I.. don’t know of Frank’s Deli, I don’t think– the city is rather big. Where is it located? Lucy’s Corner might sound more like something I could try for smaller items, and I am a fan of supporting the local business owners.. considering, well, I am one. I’m definitely going to try and get a few places to contribute, so may as well start there.
Only sometimes?
Oh, yeah, I don’t even know where abouts you live so you might not know it. It’s in Bayview. I highly recommend it, it’s great. I love going there. Local businesses are the best businesses to support, I wholeheartedly agree. Of course, yes. Which I still haven’t visited, I should do that soon.

Stepping aside so Pepper could join her outside, she gave a quiet sigh. The women had gotten close and Kiran had no doubt that Pepper could tell something was off about her. The smile that greeted the Domme was enough to make her smile a bit more genuine. The sub made her happier in general, especially when they were together, face to face. “I’m okay. It just gets me down when Avery isn’t too happy. I pushed her into meeting more Dominants and the first one she met and got a little close to practically dumped and ghosted her. I’m stuck somewhere between wanting to murder this asshole and wanting to make Avery feel better. I don’t know if I can do either one.” She took the blonde’s hand and laced their fingers together, using that to stop the both of them from walking momentarily. “Let’s have a good time, okay? I have no doubt that you can take my mind of it.” She smiled at Pepper, leaning close to kiss her softly. “Thanks for coming tonight.”
Pepper listens as Kiran talks, explaining what was wrong with her. While she was lowkey glad it wasn’t something directly about the Domme she was sad for Avery. It was always hard, trying to put yourself out there and to get shot down was disheartening. “That’s awful, I don’t understand people who ghost others. I don’t see why people can’t be honest about their feelings, or lack of,” she says with a shrug of his shoulders. “All I can advise, Miss, is that you just be there for her - which I am sure you are but that’s probably what she needs.” Pepper knew when her relationship with her ex blew up in her face, just having Jay there for her was a big help even if he might not have known it. She smiles as their fingers lace together, stepping in her side and turning to look at Kiran. “Of course, I can do that,” she agrees easily. She hums happily before he’s kissing the Domme back, slow and easy. “You’re welcome, Miss.”

While pumpkin spice is delicious, I am more partial to salted caramel. In all forms.
The most important Autumnal debate: salted caramel or pumpkin spice. Opinions? Suggestions? Screw both and get the cold brew? Help a girl out–one who desperately needs her caffeine fix.

One thing about me is that I will never turn the opportunity to try some food.
Oh, really? That’s great. You can be my taste tester, then.

Happy to hear that! It seems I’m just gaining recruits left and right– but I do have a very important question for you. Where, exactly, is your favorite place to eat in New Eden? I’d like to sample it to get a gauge for your tastes to see if it could possibly be a contender.
That doesn’t surprise me, Sir, it is a good idea after all. Oh, I’m not sure I could pick just one place, to be honest. Franks’s Deli is great, but I don’t think that is right for this event. There is a cute little cafe type restaurant I do go to a lot called Lucy’s Corner and she does the best food. Her desserts are to die for as well.

I’m just going to have to learn to be more like that. I like cooking sometimes. Depending on the meal, really. Maybe you could come over and we could cook together then? Because I would be happy to chat with someone new.
It does take a little effort, to be honest, but it is definitely worth it. That is fair enough, sometimes cooking isn’t always fun, but I do really enjoy it. I would like that, Sir, that sounds fun.

It had taken a lot for Pepper to trust someone after her relationship with her ex ended, badly. She was a lot more closed off to relationships than she had been before, too scared to repeat history. Kiran was nothing like her ex, though, and honestly it had been fairly easy for her to trust her. Scenting with her was great, just spending time with her was also great so any opportunity to do so Pepper would take it. She answered her door and could tell instantly that something was bothering Kiran. “Hi, Miss,” she says in reply the smile on her face big, real and genuine. She tilts her head to the side slightly, just watching Kiran for a moment before he steps out of her apartment. “Are you okay?” she can’t help but ask because if Kiran wanted to talk about it, Pepper would listen and if she didn’t Pepper would just try and make their outing fun for her so she would forget about her worries even for a little while.
having a walk f2f | Kiran & Pepper
Kiran had been seeing Pepper pretty regularly for six months now. They scened most times and talk fairly regularly. They’ve gotten closer in the past 2 months or so, and it showed in the way that they interacted with each other. At least on Kiran’s part. Would she claim Pepper? Probably not, considering her last official claim didn’t end all that well. But she hadn’t given it much thought so far anyway. Avery brought it up though, and Kiran couldn’t help but wonder if she saw something that she didn’t.
With Avery’s worries weighing on her, Kiran tried to put on a happy face, but when she reached Pepper’s door, she couldn’t muster one. It got a little easier when Pepper opened the door and Kiran could see her but even then, the smile couldn’t quite reach her eyes. “Hey beautiful. You sure are a sight for sore eyes.”
