So, just out of curiosity, I decided to look at some numbers on Ao3.

Polin currently has 6680 fics in their tag.

3360 of them were written After May 16th! That's double the amount of fics in six months than in the previous three years. (There were a handful of fics pre-2021, but the show, obviously made the pairing popular.)

By comparison - Kanthany has 4624 fics; Saphne has 1050 fics; and Benophie has 1117 fics.

But I mean think about that -- so there were 3000 fics BEFORE season 3 came out. Polin, before their season, had nearly as many fics as Kanthony. Fwiw, Kanthony only had 600 fics before their season.

During the summer, Ao3 also wrote a list of most popular ships of 2024 (so far) and Polin landed at 37.

That's wild. WILD. Especially for a F/M pairing that isn't connected to Harry Potter.

Don't let anyone on the internet fool you -- Polin is a pretty popular ship.

I'll be curious to see how this trends as the show continues. The fact that the show isn't over, and that Polin will be featured in Season 4 means we're getting at least a few more years of probably heavy content. They have potential to crack Ao3's top 100 of all time.

I find it easier to show pics of how I find things. Again to clarify I'm not saying Antonia posted this exact video clip only that is very easy to pretend to be somewhere you are not.

Edit I don't know for certain it's the same video as Antonias. I found versions of it going back a month. Antonias friend visited in November she could have sent it to A or A could have gone and waited to post it later. Interestingly Antonia posted her story after the guy posted his story about Luke. There's a lot of variables. All we know for a fact is that Luke was at the restaurant at some point.
