a melancholy tale of unrequited love.

Once upon a time In a parallel universe lightyears away, Lived an epic love— That was you and me.

We lived in fairytales, Ones where happy endings did exist. We created scenarios and dreams Ones where they were all reality that did subsist.

We lived in fairytales, Ones where it was all sunny and flowery. You loved me by the ruins of our castle. You loved me as if the universe and stars were ours.

And then drought came. The flowers and the sun turned into dust. The moon and the darkness wooed. Our castle started to crumble as our fairytale did.

And then i woke up.

I woke up realizing It was all just a dream. And that the epic love that was you and me Ended when i realized you never really loved me.

My days turned grey and blue. Days that were all weary and dead. Memories became waves crashing against me. Memories of the long faded love of you and me.

i was never his juliet.

i am a dreamer and a hoarder of memories i wish existed. maybe in the past lives. or in another life. another time.

you were the Romeo to my Juliet, once. maybe in our past life. maybe in a parallel universe. i cannot remember. but i remember what it felt like, how it felt like. i vividly remember.

i remember how you held me for the first time
i remember how our hands touched as they clasped, how our skin conversed as we collided— stellar. beautiful. sublime.

and i remember how you looked at me. i remember how you held me as our hands clasped for the last time one last time as we bid our good-byes.

it’s been years. centuries, eons. i cannot remember. and then i saw you as you paved your way into the great hall of the Capulets. i rushed to you and held you and told you i missed you and that i love you.
