After the rebellion , Some one found him and returned him to district 4 where He found Annie , skinny as a bone sitting by the ocean. He sat with her and then and there they promised never to leave one another ever again.

Annie and her son used to visit Katniss and Peeta every year. One day Katniss walked in on Annie's son in his underwear. She quickly apologized and looked away. He striked a pose and said, "Why? Do you find this... distracting?" with a smile. It reminded Katniss so much of Finnick, but she couldn't help but smile.

She would think of how life might have been different, maybe better, with Gale. First time reading the first book, Peeta fooled me as well as Katniss. Even with the adorable train scenes and capitol scenes, with Katniss second guessing his motives I did too. And then when he was with the Careers, I hoped it was fake but I wasn’t sure lol.

Sometimes Katniss would wake up in the middle after having a nightmare about her kids being in The Hunger Games. Peeta would hold her tight and stroke her hair. She would ask “Real or not real?” and Peeta would always reply “Not real.” Then let her fall back asleep in his arms.

After the war ended, Peeta still had the after effects of the hijacking. Sometimes he bursted out in front of the children. The kids worried about him, but Katniss didn't dare tell them of what Panem used to be.
