From a irl perspective It's really impressive how much Jimmy has grown and improved, he was never bad per say, he was only doing bad because of most of the other players were minecraft veterans, but he managed to get on the level of people like Grian surprisingly fast.

From a lore perspective Jimmy was last, then last, then last, then last, then second to last, then seventh before praying to the Watchers.
