In America alone, there is an estimated ninety-two-thousand-ninety-one people who are homeless, living on streets or in makeshift tents, in poor conditions, without food, shelter, or any help. Many (especially a large ratio of homeless females) won’t go to shelters because of the violent crime that happens in many, but not all, homeless shelters. Others do not know how to reach out for help, or have mental illness which stops them from getting help. I ask you though... how can we as a nation be called ‘America the Great,’ ‘America the Beautiful,’ if we will not even help our fellow Americans, our fellow humans.

Where do they go when policemen are routinely destroying homeless encampments? Destroying their only shelter, blaming the victims, and taking away the small shred of hope and security they have, only feeds the larger issue, removing their only security, forcing them out of safer places than most... where do they go when police officers put up spikes under underpasses? Where will the homeless go when their camps and places of residence are destroyed? What is the true cost of the attack against the homeless? Without empathy and common decency to those who have less, how can we truly call our country a ‘Great Nation,’? Homelessness is not a choice, it’s a symptom of a societal loss of empathy and common humanity. How young or old do they have to be till someone finally finds it in their heart to help?

Vladimir Putin is waging war on innocent civilians, men, women, children... committing atrocities and war crimes against the people of Ukraine, though he acts the victim, he is the main aggressor and a crook. He is not the victim.
