The horse's front legs are represented by a curving line of dots, which both turn at a right angle and extend beyond where the legs would normally end. There is a branching symbol extending from the aurochs' back. Each photo shows a different angle. End ID.]

I am going to take this as an opportunity to run with the wildest small world incident I've experienced.
My mom was born and raised in the Philippines (missionary parents). A fair amount of that time was spent at a boarding school for missionary kids.
All sorts of hilarious shenanigans lead to my parents meeting, marrying, and traveling the world together. They ultimately decided on settling down in a specific area in the rocky mountains. Neither had ties to the location of any sort, they just thought it was beautiful.
Then, around 35ish years later, I was attending a small highschool in a small and generally unknown town in rural Colorado. We had a substitute teacher in one of my classes one day. He introduced himself and his teaching experience- mentioning a boarding school in the Philippines. I asked if he knew the [Mom's Original Surname] family.
My aunt was his favorite student.
several years ago i became mutuals with someone on tiktok who ended up moving to the island where i lived by sheer coincidence, so we got to hang out! tonight i'm working on an article i was hired to write about a historical event, and i was trying to figure out the nautical route the people in the article took in the 1920s. i googled the route, and an article by that same friend was the very first result, about their own, completely unrelated trip along the same route a couple years ago as a wilderness guide. it's a small, serendipitous world!

I want to write a book called “your character dies in the woods” that details all the pitfalls and dangers of being out on the road & in the wild for people without outdoors/wilderness experience bc I cannot keep reading narratives brush over life threatening conditions like nothing is happening.
I just read a book by one of my favorite authors whose plots are essentially airtight, but the MC was walking on a country road on a cold winter night and she was knocked down and fell into a drainage ditch covered in ice, broke through and got covered in icy mud and water.
Then she had a “miserable” 3 more miles to walk to the inn.
Babes she would not MAKE it to that inn.
