about you, post breakup
Sometimes it feels like a splinter,
Painful to keep, terrifying to remove.
Sometimes it feels like a shower of golden love,
Overwhelming and beautiful.
Before you, I didn’t know it was possible to feel blessed and cursed about the same thing.
But now, I’m fully aware
The very thing that takes your breath away can also refuse to give it back.

What I would tell my teenage self:
Your fire and fierceness was beautiful, but it might have been aimed in the wrong direction. The rebelliousness against the government was commendable, but I wish I could have seen you stand up to your friends like you stood against the establishment. I wish you fought hatred and meanness instead of teachers doing their jobs. I wish you tried to change your little corner instead of the world.

The Boondock Saints
Connor: Now you will receive us. Murphy: We do not ask for your poor, or your hungry. Connor: We do not want your tired and sick. Murphy: It is your corrupt we claim. Connor: It is your evil that will be sought by us. Murphy: With every breath we shall hunt them down. Connor: Each day, we will spill their blood till it rains down from the skies. Murphy: Do not kill, do not rape, do not steal, these are principles which every man of every faith can embrace. Connor: These are not polite suggestions, these are codes of behavior and those of you that ignore them will pay the dearest cost. Murphy: There are varying degrees of evil, we urge you lesser forms of filth not to push the bounds and cross over, into true corruption, into our domain. Connor: For if you do, one day you will look behind you and you will see we three. And on that day, you will reap it. Murphy: And we will send you to whatever god you wish. Connor, Murphy, Il Duce: And shepherds we shall be, for Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand. Connor, Murphy, Il Duce: That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be. Il Duce: In nomine Patri. Connor: Et Fili. Murphy: Spiritus Sancti.

Men don’t know healthy weights for women.
Quick rant. So one thing that grinds my gears is that men have no idea what is considered a healthy weight for a woman. They just hear about celebrities weighing 120 or less and assume that’s healthy for everyone. Well, let me lay down some facts. A female can weigh 153 pounds at 5′6″ and still have a “healthy” BMI (I know that’s not an accurate measurement of health, but you get my point.) I am a 5′1″ female that gets weighed fairly regularly and publicly for my job. When the scale reads 120 lbs, everyone rushes to the charts to see if I’m overweight because they’ve been told their whole lives that females under 5′2″ should be under 100 pounds. Well, I’m not, and guess what? I have over ten pounds before my job considers me overweight. The sad part is that probably blows the minds of 95% of the male population.

Okay, no. Even if you disregard the personalities, Chuck is significantly more attractive. After his haircut, Chuck became the epitome of dark and handsome. Nate? He literally looks like a spoiled rich kid. I can't get behind it at all.
