Super excited to see a seal so up close. Beautiful little cove of Coldingham, just a shame lots of other people there too!

Day 2 of solo camping in @lomondtrossachs I went along the forest drive along Duke's Pass, which is a very dickie road with many tight bends but sublime views along the way. The walks along the forest drive are so peaceful, Luke loved them. The heart appeared when I was having a bit of deep thinking about my place in the Universe and seeing this shining on the ground in front of me made me so happy and like it was an acknowledgement from the Universe somehow. Hard to explain. Went to Stronachlachar on the edge of Loch Katrine and discovered the quaint cafe on the Loch edge. Incredibly friendly staff, tasty food and dog friendly. The outside looked very Victorian and there is a steam boat on Loch Katrine that stops there so it is well worth it. If you go you must try the @arranicecream delicious. From here you can go to Loch Lomond on an incredible scenic single track road, just bare in mind that it is a dead end so you'll have to come all the way back, but totally worth it and also you may meet coaches so take care and be aware. @visitscotland @fcscotland @thepiercafe_stronachlachar #scotspirit #scots_magazine #lochlomondandtrossachsnationalpark #nature #walkingng #happydog #happiness

Day 1 of solo camping @ Loch Ard. Not completely solo as naturally had Luke with me for the adventure. Loch Ard is just west of Aberfoyle and part of the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park. It's beautiful there, very much reminded me of the Italian lakes but with more midges! @lomondtrossachs @fcscotland @igscotland @uk.shots @visitscotland #scotspirit #scots_magazine #happydog @campingwithdogs

Warning deep and meaningful thoughts coming up so those without a heart look away now. The past couple of days have been hard physically and emotionally. Actually this whole year has been filled with massive highs and crappy lows. I am my own worst critic and have a big tenancy to spiral out of control in my mind. Anyway I was left feeling very taken for granted and like I had made a gigantic fool of myself. But sometimes there just takes a perfect moment of beauty and the right song (James Bay - let it go) to make you realise that you will get back to yourself and that you are worth something. I know who I am and I'm happy with that. I'm not perfect, far from it but I've come a long way and it's going to get better. I have a lot to be grateful for and I'm going to get back to making myself the best version I can. #life #mentalhealth #happiness #beauty

A beautiful sunset at beach at Craig Tara near Ayr. Went here weekend just passed for my birthday. So much fun but getting too old for really late nights and drinking jugs of cocktails! Even went out my comfort zone and went on scary flumes and water slides, yes I know little kids go on them but I didn't learn to swim till I was about 11 so not confident where water is. I was very proud of myself lol. #sunset @visitscotland #Ayrshire #scotland @scots_magazine

Any guesses to where this is! Feel so privileged to live in the middle of nowhere but just a wee drive is the capital city of Scotland. Decided to be a tourist last week in Edinburgh and it didn't disappoint Went to @soderbergbakery pavilion for some sourdough pizza and have a @shibuitea. They have great food, great staff and brilliant toilets. Beautiful sink and taps like valves on a gas line. Beautiful smelling soap @soderbergbakery what is that soap? Then I walked randomly and found some brill sneak peaks at the castle which is the heart of the city. Round to Dean Gardens to follow @waterofleithconservationtrust walk back towards ocean terminal. The diversity of nature and scenery in Edinburgh is astounding, not to mention the architectural triumphs. #scotspirit @visitscotland #edinburgh @uk.shots @unlimitedscotland #springishere

On this #maythe4thbewithyou I'm celebrating the people of Edinburgh that I came across during my walk about on Wednesday. I especially love this photo of the man on the street, now he may or may not be living in poverty but I still found it incredibly touching seeing him feed and pet the pigeons. Some people have nothing but still give to others #humbling #life

Happiness in the small things. Today hasn't started well, didn't sleep because feeling horribly sick all night and still am now but I've just gone out to look at my garden and the difference in a week is astonishing. Most brilliant is this blossom, the first year the tree has fully blossomed in the 6 or 7 years I've had it. I still feel sick but for a moment seeing this blossom made me forget and smile. So much of my garden has survived A, my awful green fingers and B, this bloody long winter or sprinter as some are calling it. Actual spring is my favourite time of the year because it literally is the start of new life and hope. #happiness #hope #spring

Healthy Oat & Lime Bites. My very own winging it recipe of oatmeal, condensed milk, coconut and lime with dark chocolate topping. They must be left overnight for the oatmeal to soak up the lime juice and condensed milk. I altered a coconut and lemon traybake recipe by swapping out digestive biscuits for the oatmeal to make it #glutenfree and adding more lime. Seem to have gone down well at work. #healthyfood #traybreak #baking

First sunny day this year spent @ntcragside. It was a blazing 22° which is a little too hot for me personally but it was still a brilliant change to the usual drab weather so far this year. Took Luke here for a birthday treat because he'll be 11 this month although mentally he thinks he's 2 still! The nature here is inspiring to say the least and the house is great too. I've been many times and still not explored everywhere. #nature #nationaltrust #northumberland #mindfulness
