Was nice today to go South crossing again the world's tallest bridge and one of the world's greatest engineering and architectural marvels, built by British Architect Norman Foster and French Structural Engineer Michel Virlogeux to span the French Tarn Valley and its heavy traffic congestion.
Standing at an impressive 343 meters, the Viaduc de Millau is 19 meters taller than the Eiffel Tower. Vertigo.

The moon at sunset yesterday evening, the very same moon about to leave the stage at dawn today. And then the rising sun is about to win the pitch 🌄

For 800 years, so many pilgrims have come to pray to the Black Miraculous Virgin of the Sanctuary of Notre-Dame-de-Rocamadour, especially during Holy Week.
The chapel is in the heart of the sanctuary, in the middle of the rock, overlooked by the Knights' castle and dominating the level of the peasants, craftsmen and merchants located in the lower part of the village, according to the classical rules of the Indo-European order.

Thunderstorms, strong westerly winds, hail: a tormented sky tonight and a possibly restless night if the electricity were to blow and I had to go out to restore it... but I know the drill! No place so wonderfully isolated, 100% nature, with exceptional beauty at 400m altitude, far from everything, without some collateral effects 😁

Well well well @time … I get your various points with regards with these « Signs of a fake » but, actually, and more than ever here, the fool looks at the finger, when the wise man shows the moon....
Basically, and no matter how much one is supposed to be appalled by the details that don't fit, what do you expect an AI, no matter how high on Deep Learning, to know/perceive/understand what a Pope stands for, and what the Catholic religion means, beyond repeating Wikipedia pages like a parrot?....
The public agitation around 'chat gpt' and its congeners is definitely a wonderful subject of daily entertainment, as well as a dull questioning about the state of contemporary discernment....

Like the GM of the domain Alexander van Beek rightly points it out, Château Giscours is a world of its own, a spectacular place, both by its size and thanks to the ecosystem surrounding the vast property. working farm, vines, a vegetable garden, animals and more. It is an entire way of life that develops day after day, over the course of generations, including for exceptional music performances 🙂

The forsythia is in full beauty.... And it's currently 24 degrees Celsius: that's obviously way too high for late March and the specter of ice boobs looms 😧 I mean ice saints, DeepL: you really want to make me look like a perverted Frenchman, don't you?😔 #climatechange #fragilebeauty (à Parc naturel régional des Causses du Quercy) https://www.instagram.com/p/CqYMARkNZ5r/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

How do these two monstrous rabbits, descendants of the dreadful Marcel, dare to come and provoke me under the living room window, devour my daffodils, and dig tunnels everywhere that threaten the truffles? Should I cook them roasted with mustard and thyme, or in stew, what do you say friends? (à Parc naturel régional des Causses du Quercy) https://www.instagram.com/p/CqWEfEkL75L/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

There's nothing like the wild ocean at the tip of #capferret to remind you of nature's dominance - especially when you narrowly escape a killer wave at the foot of the dune 😅

‘La Première des Primeurs’ 2022 took place today at the Opéra National de Bordeaux where Director Emmanuel Hondré invited Veronique Sanders-van Beek and the Château Haut-Bailly team for a purely enchanting encounter between the performance of the opera's remarkable choir and the iconic #hautbailly wines, on both sides of the attic of this unique monument in France. The music was divine, the #hautbailly 2022 is a milestone and the 1998-2000-2005-2010-2015 verticale honouring the guests left them all speechless ❤️👏🙏

Here’s to the sunset pilgrimage at the ‘Horizon Beach’ (a very nice surf spot), at #capferret and just one of the many proofs of passion that this corner of paradise, now too well known, alas, to the world in general and to Parisians in particular, demands and deserves. Here is my humble tribute as a ‘local guy’ who used to come here every year, sometimes in the past century ❤️🙂

And the art of living is definitely a key part of the brand #hautbailly dna, as the table set for lunch shows it.

As an eternal walker of the quays of the Seine, Right Bank and Left Bank, I can only applaud with both hands! And I'm not saying that I won't swim there... #seineriver #environment #swimmingintheseine time « The world's most romantic river is actually pretty dirty. But Paris is set to accomplish a rare feat for a major city, officials say. It will make the once heavily-polluted Seine fit for swimming again. Once the €1.4 billion project is finished-by next spring if all goes to plan-Parisians will be legally allowed to swim in the river for the first time in a century. Some believe the Seine's cleanup will even spur similar projects elsewhere. Los Angeles has sent water and sanitation officials to Paris to study the Seine cleanup. » Read the cover story at the link in our bio.
