That's me, that's me. The boy with the broken halo. That's me, that's me. The devil won't let me be.

“You’re no fun. Seriously– don’t be a spoil sport.”

“Don’t waste your energy on these idiots, Tess. Not everyone understands what being fucked up is like.”
“Can everyone just stop asking me why I went away for so long? Hopefully you’ve got a brain in there– figure it out yourself.”

“Valentine’s day is stupid.” Isaac eyed the food. “But I’ll still have a cookie.”
“I’ve got some freshly baked heart-shaped cookies if anyone’s still in the Valentine’s Day spirit.”

“You are?” He grinned. “Great.”
“I miss the days where people would try and hit on me. Does everything think I’m dating someone or something? I’m very much single, ladies and gentleman.”

“Of course I need permission. I wouldn’t throw myself at such a fair lady if she was going to feel uncomfortable.”
“You don’t need my permission, Parkinson. Go a head, start the process.”

Isaac could tell Tessa wasn’t telling the truth, but a concerned look was all he could give her before the subject was changed. He flustered a little. “No, of course not! I’m here to seduce a bottle of vodka and maybe the odd Slytherin girl looking for a good time, but nothing else.” He countered. Isaac’s nervous expression switched to one of joy as he leaned forward to hug his friend. “Don’t be ridiculous, they were perfect. You don’t have to do any more than you’ve done, but I’m blaming you if I get a cavity.”
She spun around at the sound of her name from a familiar voice, “Isaac I– nothing, nothing it’s okay,” she lied. “You look handsome though– is there somebody you’re trying to impress?” she teased, her smile still rather weak. Tessa’s mind suddenly clicked when she remembered what was happening tonight, “Oh hey um, by the way– I hope you enjoyed the gift. It wasn’t the best, but I’ll think of something else to get you as well. I just thought you’d like all that candy.”

“Fantastic. So, can I start the process now?”
“Well, It’d be entirely your decision. Mask on, mask off, either way hypothetically I’d be getting some.”
