( ♛ ) —  He raises a fist in the air as a sign of victory, a casual smile resting on his lips as he closed his eyes for a quick second. ❝Aha- I like the formalities for once. But anyway, thanks. I’ll even treat you out to coffee, noona,❞ he teased. For some reason, Bogum couldn’t address the other formally because of the cat and mouse relationship the two had. It was cringe worthy whenever they would address each other with their work titles but Bogum secretly liked it since many of his colleagues never usually addressed him formally. ❝I have one last class so I’ll send you a message when I’m done and we can meet whenever you’re ready to go too, yeah?❞

         Eyes peered up at him through her glasses ― oh how did she love taunting him. For some reason, Yeji was someone that dripped in sarcasm, more so often with him around. Brows raised at the sudden reason why the male offered his presence to her, which caused the biochemistry professor to lean back against her chair, “One of my students?” she hummed out, eyes shifting from the male to the large window, “… And I usually do. You’re quite lucky Bogum-gyosu…” she commented a slight smirk tugging on her lips, “Usually people could meet with me if they had appointments, but of course, I’ll make an exception for you…”

( ♛ ) —  He looks up from his desk with an exasperated expression written all over his features. ❝Really? I told you that I watched it with other people here, right? I didn’t say I paid attention to it.❞ Bogum put down his papers he was trying to finish grading, pushing the other back into his living room and grabbing his television remote.  ❝What are we watching tonight, anyway? Want to watch ‘Unborn’ or did you have another one in mind? I heard of this Thai one but I forgot the name. I saw the picture before and I couldn’t sleep for a few days.❞

"I might fail the final but I also might die before I actually have to take it, so let's not jump to any conclusions here."

( ♛ ) —  ❝Of course, death will always be unexpected but what would be your cause of death this time? An overdose of information in that little head of yours?❞ A sarcastic laugh escaped the professor’s system, sighing as he fiddled with the book in his hands. ❝Finals aren’t until next month, aren’t they? You have a whole month to study. I’m sure you’ll be able to take your time with studying and split up the sections so that you won’t have to cram everything all at once. Don’t overreact. Just make an effort and you’ll get a C at least.❞ This was what he couldn’t understand about students nowadays. They never learned the importance of education because they were shaped by their parents to see that the grade embellished on a piece of paper is the most important thing in their life in school.  ❝All that matters is that you’re making an effort to learn and getting educated. As long as it’s your personal best, the grade doesn’t matter. Next time, you’ll be able to do better than you did before so you’ll be surpassing your measurement of your own capabilities. If you’re really having a hard time, I’ll even tutor you— even if you don’t attend my university.❞

( ♛ ) —  The male’s overreaction brought a bout of laughter from the man’s system, inching the iced coffee milk tea closer to the other. ❝You’re a law student that’s undergoing a lot of stress. A sip of coffee won’t hurt, you know?❞ He holds the drink in front of the other, wiggling his eyebrows to tease him.  ❝You need to stay awake to keep studying, right?❞

( ♛ ) —  The attitude that the female had was something he was used to at this point but it became a habit of his to simply make a face at the other, scrunching his nose and squinting his eyes at her. After a second or two, he took a deep breath, exhaling dramatically. ❝There’s a student I’ve been concerned about. I was wondering if you knew anything about it since she’s a bio major so I wanted to discuss it with you. You got any time to spare after your classes are over?❞

             “Well looky-looky who it is~” she hummed out, her head tilting as she looked over who entered her office in the middle of the day, “Isn’t it the winner of Seoul’s 2015 Teacher award…” she commented, though there was a slight mock in her tone. She leaned back against her chair, arms crossing in front of her as her tongue played with the lollipop between her lips, “What do I have the honor?”

( ♛ ) —  The expression that the student had shot the lecturer’s mood up by a hundred percent. ❝No need to say thanks, Yoonmi. That’s what college is about, isn’t it? Getting prepared for the ‘real world’ and networking. You’ve already got both down to a science.❞ He chuckles, in awe that other professors haven’t complimented her. Bogum, despite his attempts to push his students to the limit, was always satisfied as long as his student worked hard to achieve their goal and was a good person. He never really understood professors that didn’t want anything from their students but an A in their classes.  ❝I think most of your professors know what you do out of school. We find out about almost everything before it could spread around the student body most of the time. ❞ he chuckles. ❝So did you sign up for any summer classes or are you going to be focusing on relaxing and your radio show during the break?❞

     she would’ve assumed that she’s done badly– considering his sigh, but his compliment soon after causes her to widen her eyes slightly in surprise. it wasn’t every day that she’s managed to get a lecturer to say something nice, especially since she’s always been one to mingle in with the rest of the class. “good ones? for real? i think this is the first time someone’s called me good!” she manages a short laugh then. “oh– and you’ve seen what i’ve been doing outside of school too?” that takes her off-guard too, since she’d been expecting lecturers to be breathing down her back about how it was important to stay focused on the most important thing at hand– getting good grades and graduating. “thank you. thank you so much, really.”

I’ll stab your eye closer to the date so that you have an excuse to get an extension.❞ He jests, a cacophonous bout of laughter spilling through his lips filled the office. ❝Can I get the free dinner in advanced though?❞
