IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Hello everyone,

I know this may be hard to hear,

But my Paranormal Peri readers deserve to hear this.

I have been offline for the past few days because I have suffered a traumatic brain injury and have been stuck in the ICU for the past two days. I am currently back home and will be ok, but I will have to take things easy and will have to slack off on working on Paranormal Peri for my health.

Do not worry, I do plan on continuing the series, but I cannot promise to post on time and may have to skip a few weeks.

There is a lot else going on but that is all I can share publicly, thank you for understanding.

I will continue to be offline more often while I heal.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!

I have officially decided to split the three arcs of Paranormal Peri into three different works.

This is due to the length, and the fact that they each follow a different plot. But they each still feel like a necessary continuation of the original arc.

They will be linked to each other and follow a similar name.

ARC 1- Paranormal Peri

ARC 2- Paranormal Promise

ARC 3- Paranormal Peace (or Paranormal Patience)

You may still call all of these by “Paranormal Peri” btw.

Arc 1 is very long.

Arc 2 is a lot shorter.

Arc 3 could go on forever.

Angel Karaoke is still happening! It’s just been pushed way back due to me missing calculating the details of many chapters.

Angel Karaoke will be chapter 34!

I do not think there should be any more chapter splits, at most one or two, but for the majority no more surprise chapter splits. I spent all day really thinking about the pacing. Unless I delete a chapter or move chapters around, it’s staying solid on chapter 34.

Weighted blanket sounds like it would be in Arc 2. I think I forgot to write down my plans for what that chapter is supposed to be, or I ended up just changing the title of it. You might be referring to fleece blanket. Although now that I think about it, weighted blanket could work better. Either way that would be the first chapter of Arc 2.

Btw, the chapter count on Paranormal Peri is only counting Arc 1 chapters. The other arcs will be split into different works following a similar name, and will be a continuation of the storyline but follow a different plot.

Heyyyyy I remember in an earlier question you mentioned how dev mightttt be at fault and reading the prologue got me questioning that. Like it honestly wasn’t his fault it was just bad timing and maybe/probably a HUGE coincidence and misconception. Dev is a good but sad boy 👀

It’s less about her not wanting to see peri hurt, and more about the methods and context behind it.

Irep and Peri have been battling eachother since birth, but I feel like it’s more for a sense of “I’m better than you” and less for the sense of “I want you to die.” even if those are the words spoken. It’s a complex rivalry. I mean if Peri dies then Irep dies. But also I feel like it would be something like “Hey! No one hurts Peri except for me!” kind of thing.

FIRST! For reasons I would feel kinda judged for, I'm using she/her for Irep. I hope you don't mind 😅

I don't think Irep would really be as nervous or scared as Peri was when he was captured, just fucking confused.

THIRD!

When (if) they found out that Irep is Peri's opposite, they would probably perform the same tests on her as Peri, to see if she has the same anatomy as him. In my personal opinion, Irep wouldn't be as traumatized as Peri is, but she would be shocked, kinda like The Devil in The Cuphead Show season 2 finale. And seeing how upset Peri is and actually understanding him, she would start to feel bad for him. The real pain begins when they cut Irep's wings, if that's even necessary, because she doesn't have bug wings, but demon wings. As soon as she realizes she doesn't have any power in this situation, that's when she starts to panic. Because she has demon wings, they may see her as more of a demon and not fairy-like, they take more caution with her. I think she'd ultimately cause more of a physical reaction, causing her to have to be detained or have something special done to her. They ultimately regret their decision of capturing her

I THINK I LOST IT MIDWAY, I'M SORRYYYYYY I'M NOT AS GOOD OF A WRITER BUT I'M TRYING

I definitely feel like Irep would be much more talkative, because she doesn’t care about breaking the rules unlike Peri. She wouldn’t hold her tongue even if it would hurt her. She seems like the character to want to constantly fight back and keep up this confidence persona. Due to this nature, I feel Irep would only suffer more.

In this scenario, if we are talking about both Irep and Peri being captured, I definitely feel like they would eventually use Peri against Irep after realizing deep deeeeep down, Irep does care about Peri even though she never wants to show it. Hurting Peri as punishment for Irep not complying seems like the only way she would crack, especially with the extreme methods they would probably use.

Everything you said above I agree with, I’m just adding on some of my own HC.
