everyone assumes if you were the one to end the relationship that it’s not so bad because “it was your decision”. the sad truth is that the one who does the breaking up has to deal with a kind of heartbreak that’s filled with guilt and “what ifs”. and sometimes it feels like you’ll never be okay.

Dad must have been so tired that he must have felt that he had no other way out of this world. But I think he was wrong. There is always a way out, although it may not feel that way. There are people out there who can and will help. You can get help and it can get better. Everyone in this world deserves love and joy - so do you. I ask you with all my heart, soul and body - ask for help. It is never a shame to ask for help, even if it is small. Never think that it is better for those you love if you go away - I can promise you that those thoughts are so wrong.
