Don’t worry, this does not mean I take credit for drawing it. When people ask if I drew it, I say “Nope.” When people ask who did, I say, “Sorry, I don’t remember.”

Just because I bought your art does not mean our profiles have to be linked forever. It’s the same if I buy an apple from the grocer. I don’t have to keep the sticker on it or tell people where it came from. I’m not a walking advertisement for your shop.

I’m crying in the club because Nott could have come back as anyone. She said herself that she didn’t like the way she looked as Veth. That she wasn’t pretty. Nott could have chosen to come back as a skinny Veth with perfectly plucked eyebrows - the rest of the group would have indignantly assured her that she was gorgeous either way, but she still could have done it.

And it’s not as though weight doesn’t matter in Exandria. Some prejudices don’t really exist there; for example there doesn’t seem to be much homophobia or skin color based racism. But fatphobia pervades even the fantasy world, that was confirmed in the last episode where multiple people used glamours to appear thinner at the Marquis’ party. Veth was bullied by her family and her peers, and surely there was some bodyshaming involved in that.

But she chose to come back as she was, not as some idealised version of herself. Mechanically, she kept her 20 DEX, and we are blessed with this badass fat rogue lady, which is essentially unheard of in fantasy. I am living for her growth and her newfound self-confidence. I love her so much

I really want Beau and essek to talk about growing up isolated, and how they became selfish and cold and acted only in their own interests. I want her to tell him she changed herself, slowly, with the love and support of her friends, and that maybe he can too

I want fjord to admit to the dark pull of power that ukutoa offered out on the ocean, and how he almost went too far in trying to find some form of identity in the service of his patron. I want him to tell essek that his friends stopped him from going down that road, and how his love for them gave him a new direction

I want jester to talk to him about burying her emotions, and how wearing a mask is just as harmful as it is useful. I want her to tell him that she’s learning to not be okay, and that’s okay, and that opening himself up to these people will bring more joy than he thought existed in the entire world.

I want Veth to tell him about her offer to the hag, and that for one, terrifying moment she thought she would really go through with it. I want her to tell him that they’re all fucked up, to some degree, but they check each other, and they’ll make it through in the end.

I want Caduceus to tell him about his family, both the clays and the Nein. I want him to tell essek about the roles he plays, and though he values the truth he’s never really honest. I want him to say that he’s getting there, and that people are all just continual works in progress.

I want yasha to hint at her tribe, and Obann, and how when she wakes up everyday the first thing on her mind is always her wife. I want her to tell him the cruelty of the tribe, and how she only fled when she lost everything. I want her to tell him to consider his priorities, and to act before it’s too late.

And I want Caleb to look him in the eye and give him a second chance. I want him to take the love he first rejected, then cultivate it, and offer it to him in an act of self-forgiveness. I want him to take him by the hand, and say if there was somehow hope for me, than there will be hope for you, because these are people that will leave every broken person they meet better than they found them.
