Pacifica "Puffy" Nihachu is a woman of her word. When she makes promises, she means them, and truly she means the love that she'd declared to Niki Nihachu- so much so that even when the universe fell apart at the seams and was sewed back at the hands of a much-too-young chaos goddess, she laid there and reassured her lover that all would be well.

It's been weeks (months?) since the server reset. Michelle and Willow thrive. Willow's already far too big and Michelle's already far too smart. Puffy often marvels at just how wonderful her life has become- chaos being fully embraced.

Her heart thuds steadily, as though it's meant to beat just this way as she lays beside Niki. Her soft curly bangs frame her face, she looks peaceful in slumber on mornings like this. Naturally her sleep can be rather fitful many days, but today the sunlight is blocked out by a blanket and the two are snuggled close. Nothing is wrong right now, and that's what makes Puffy's life feel so right, she thinks.

She's always been an adventurer- she creates and she sails and she shares and she loves recklessly and wholly. She doesn't mind the risk because she's used to falling. She's a little afraid of settling down.

Regardless of those abstract whispers of freedom that bounce around, she reasons that this is what she wants. She reasons that she could live this way.

It's a good day to be alive, I think! Which I consistently am. <3

I've been busy, I think. Michelle and Willow have been playing, they're perfectly okay! I've just been housekeeping and running errands, and stuff like that.

(She pauses.)

Waiting for you to wake up, too. This has been... a weird server adjustment, to say the very least, haha! I hear nobody's even found George, yet- I assume he's probably out cold somewhere too.

Niki? Oh god, you're awake! Okay, um. Hey...

puffy? hey, what's going on? are you alright? i don't know what happened, one minute i was going about my day and the next-

[papa-puffy]

(Puffy tried not to let tears well up. Whatever had happened, whatever she wasn't telling Niki about- with the intent to not overwhelm her- it didn't matter right now.)

Then I'm here. For as long as you need.

Niki? Oh god, you're awake! Okay, um. Hey...

puffy? hey, what's going on? are you alright? i don't know what happened, one minute i was going about my day and the next-

[papa-puffy]

Hi, beautiful.

(She reaches to push Niki's hair behind her ear and looks at her with the biggest eyes possible.)

Make sure you drink enough. I can get you anything you'd like, too. More water, food, the girls, anything.

Niki? Oh god, you're awake! Okay, um. Hey...

I know, I know, it's...

(She sets down the tea she's brought in. She only brought a single cup- it was to watch Niki for any signs of waking, but she supposed the other could have it now. She didn't care, not even a little. Niki was awake.)

It's a long, long story. I'll explain later, okay? What matters, for now, is that everyone's safe. Michelle and Willow are okay, I'm okay, I'm positive you'll be alright.

I brought some tea, if you're thirsty?

Niki? Oh god, you're awake! Okay, um. Hey...

[A camera focus brings us into the scene. Niki is lying in bed, tossing and turning. Her mouth is moving, but no words form. A zoom into her face and a dissolve reveal the nightmare.]

Today is it: The best day off ever. Our characters are determined to make today like no other, parties and game nights galore!

(Puffy smiles, before kissing Niki chastely anyway, and pulling away.)

(She goes to get changed.)

(Puffy looks up, silently. She's cutting up a steak, blood splattered all over her shirt from butchering a cow at the butcher shop she works part time at. Her shirt is white, making the blood splats all the more obvious. The knife shakes in her hand, as if deep down, she doesn't want to be holding it. She's mostly a vegan at this point-)

(She's new to cutting meat, since her job as a butcher is new, so she doesn't want to mess up. Still, when she sees Niki, she smiles.)

Hi Niki, I'm preparing dinner!

(The echo graces her ears in tandem.)

I did!! I brought home steak & potatoes to make for the kids, too, so hopefully they'll be excited for that!!
