Tokusatsu character who's got a whole subplot about trying keep their secret identity as a hero from their friend, but it slowly becomes obvious to the audience that said friend is also a tokusatsu-style hero but from a completely different genre.

Like a Kamen Rider hastily tries to make up an excuse to leave to fight the local kaijin, and as soon as he leaves the room his friend just sighs and a little magical girl mascot critter jumps out of her purse like "Whoa, that was close! Now hurry up and transform, the people of the crystal dimension need your help!"
