jetzt mal klartext: im bürgergeld sind sehr sehr wenige. totalverweigerer. Ein großer teil sind leute, die zu krank zum arbeiten sind. ein anderer großer teil sind leute, die sehr wohl arbeiten, deren löhne aber nicht reichen, um davon zu leben. Wenn es nach cdu und fdp geht, bekommen die nun noch weniger, um den sozialstaat zu entlasten.

Das Gegenteil muss der fall sein: wer arbeiten kann und tut, soll dafür auch so entlohnt werden, dass er davon leben kann und nicht auf den staat angewiesen ist. Alles andere ist nur subvention. Wenn der staat das gehalt aufstocken muss, damit große konzerne ihren arbeitnehmer weniger lohn zahlen können, profitiert davon nur das unternehmen. Wenn der staat mit wohnungsgeld nachhelfen muss, weil mieten sonst nicht bezahlbar sind, profitiert davon nur vermieter. Bei dem Sozialhilfeempfänger kommt nichts davon an, denn alles geld das er erhält dient nur, um es für seine existenz (lebensmittel, miete etc) an große konzerne weiterzugeben. Dieselben konzerne, die sich weigern, ihre arbeitnehmer gerecht zu entlohnen und mieten künstlich erhöhen.

Dazu kommt noch, dass einschränken der sozialleistungen den staat langfristig nicht ENTlastet, sondern BElastet. Wer im dauerstress ist, permanent um seine existenz bangen muss, dem schlägt das auf die gesundheit. Suchtprobleme, depressionen, herzprobleme ag chronischem stress etc. sind die folge. Bis hin zur arbeitsunfahigkeit. Nun hat man nicht mehr jemanden, dessen gehalt nur aufgestockt werden muss, sondern dessen gesamte existenz gesichert werden muss. Also 3- bis 4 mal so hohe ausgaben pro person. Für millionenen personen. Der staat wird weiter belastet und das geld fließt weiterhin nach oben.

Die antwort lautet mal wieder: löhne hoch, lebenskosten runter.

i guess it depends on how common it is to actutally FIND your soulmate.

If soulmates exist, but you chances of finding them are very very slim, there is a good chance there will still be arranged marriages.

If youre basically guaranteed to find your soulmate, arranged marriages are less likely, though the aristocracy usually plays by different rules anyways. So they might still go for arranged marriages for political/business reasons, even if everyone suffers for it.

Theres some interesting things you can do with the artanged marriage in a soulmate au: Arranged marriage for business reasons, but because rich people tend not to vibe with lower classes, the chance of it actually being your soulmate is pretty high. Arranged marriage, but both partners also have their soulmates around as mistresses. The only way to find your soulmate is through a matchmaker, but oops only the rich can afford that etc.

I’ve been thinking too much about soulmate aus and I’ve been wondering, are there still arranged marriages in these worlds? Like, do wealthy families marry off their kids to someone who’s equally wealthy and, potentially, could maybe be that person’s soulmate? If not, is there a tattoo place that could do fake soulmarks or whatever to keep up the illusion for the rest of society? I don’t know, it’s midnight and I have thoughts about the logistics of a common fanfiction trope, ignore me, guys 😅.

remind me of the first time my father called me woke. He was like "im sorry to have to say this but youre woke".

My initial reaction was actually to he flattered. Because i was only just starting my journey to being interested in politics and knew there was a lot i didnt know. But i was trying. So my dad recognizing i was making an effort to be informed and care about people and societal injustic was a really positive moment for me. Until my brain caught up with the fact he'd just used the word "woke"as an INSULT.

Cue endless confusion. "Wait, why is that a BAD thing? Do you even know what "woke" means? Is MY understanding of "woke" wrong? How can it be bad to care about people?" etc.

And honestly i do not remember what happened after that. Im guessing we had a massive fight
