Enjoying All Things Go, DC. It's been a great festival. We did come out here from Memphis with hopes of seeing the chapelle roan, but have continued to have a great weekend along with the changes. I was able to catch up with a best friend from middle school and have seen so many amazing artists. I have wanted to see Janelle monea for years and years, so I did get that checked off my list. And will get to see Renee rapp too. It's not been a loss at all.

And here I am not sleeping again, knowing tomorrow I'll be advising someone along the day on ways they can improve sleep habits and reduce/stop insomnia.... At least I'll be truly sympathetic with my sleep deprivation

I treated myself to VIP tickets for Mempho fest last year as a graduation present. I never expected the wonderful weather as is present here. Looking forward to The Black Keys later tonight. (And with a fuck you I'm in the bathroom (inclosed flushable bathroom.... Fancy VIP) with double chin accented instead of disguising the double chin.)

Posting here because sometimes it's just not worth the time to reply elsewhere....here's my random reply...

And don't forget...back when abortion was first illegal there used to be septic abortion floors in hospitals for women who had severe infections and sometimes died, because they didn't have access to the health care they needed (even if the pregnancy was caused by rape, incest, or whatever) and don't forget women weren't allowed to work if pregnant back then and had to get permission from their husbands to get birth control. Oh yeah, and women weren't allowed to apply for credit on their own. And the justices decided to reverse to turn back to a time...I'm a little shaken. Don't forget the right for invetro fertilization is also tied to this right. So that it could also change those trying to get pregnant...you know because a woman just doesn't deserve the right to choose anything about her own body. Thank you government for taking our rights away from our feeble brained selves... let freedom ring...Just not for women.

I always wonder....what if the government decided to Just cut off the Dick responsible for each unwanted pregnancy? Because y'all know the government should have the right to decide what happens to men's bodies for an unwanted pregnancy too

I honestly have just been in shock this actually happened. How the Fuck and what the Fuck and besides run away...how do we even fight this?

I'm still in shock. I start my new job today. The job I went back to school for years ago. The job that while I was in school, my instructors were even like...well, what's your back up plan, because there are not a lot of palliative nurse practitioners. I am in shock I finished my doctorate and I'm getting the opportunity to start a new palliative program at a hospital...well more like expand a program from one hospital to another.

This is really happening!!!

Been saying this long before the pandemic and prior to the recent increase use of travel nurses... very frustrating that nurses are the focus and not safe care for patients. Or capping pay where it would really benefit the consumer with the admin and CEOs. I'll always think it's wrong to make millions a year off someone's health or life. I still believe the government was originally created to protect our pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness...and do not believe we are currently protecting lives the best we can. Life keeps on throwing curve balls

I was so excited, today was the day I turned in my last assignment in school. I have finished everything I need to do and will be getting my doctor of nursing practice degree next week. 

I had only been on the books of faces for limited time and missed that one of my friends I used to nurse with lost her mother tragically 1 or 2 days ago. Her mom walked to check her mail in her mailbox and was killed on the spot by a drunk driver.  They had a small go fund me set up, as her mom already was living on fixed income. My thoughts quickly changed from excitement of graduating to my heart going out to her and her family and pausing to take a quick selfish moment of gratitude.

The vaccine came out during Trump being in office. Trump now says people don't trust Biden and that's why they aren't getting the vaccine. The same non political vaccine that was available the end of 2020?

How stupid does he think his own supporters are? They know it came out during his administration and not with Biden. They know Biden hasn't changed the vaccine. They know Trump took this same vaccine.

I'm so sick of people making health issues and people's lives political

They know that this was the first time scientists around the world were working together openly top save lives, reducing red tape, and using each other's findings to speed up the process.

Most of the patients I've seen who decide not to take the vaccine could not explain a scientific study...and not a youtube finding, actual science.

I feel it is our education system that fails us in the end. Over decades our society has slowly reduced emphasis on education and became complacent.

Our education system lost focus and the government caused more work for educators, which reduced the time they could teach. Funding and support for education also dropped.

I'm preaching to the choir.
