Jamie's Story

Happy coming out day friends! Im lucky to have grown up in an environment that encouraged me to be myself no matter what which made coming out a very nice experience, thought I’d share my story. In 2008 i realized i had a base attraction to guys that i couldn’t explain, which lead to me coming out as gay in 2012 and i thought i was done! Then in 2013 i read a definition of the word pansexual and it suddenly made so much sense. I never lost my attraction to women, i just accepted my attraction to everyone else. Pansexual is a state of sexuality where a person’s gender doesnt actually factor in as a main reason to be attracted to a person. I moreso look for personality, conversation skills, sense of humour, things that really matter. I dont care what’s between your legs, its what’s in your heart that matters most. Today is a day to celebrate differences but remember that its never okay to out someone without their permission! Their journey is theirs alone, let them live their own life. Love to everyone
