nightmaresofgold‌:
Gold grinned impishly. “Because unlike some guys I haven’t gotten into cross-dressing yet. Maybe someday, who knows~” The look on his face relaxed again as she spoke before he hummed, considering his options.
“Great, while you’re having your shower I’ll find a couple suggestions, maybe get some popcorn the works.” It was at that point that they had arrived at his floor and he led her out of the elevator, his arm wrapped around her to keep anyone that might look out the door from questioning things too much. At least out loud. He was sure it would look like he’d found himself a one night stand, but he didn’t care what others thought of him.  His gaze turned to her then, watching her a moment before he scoffed. “You’d have been fine. You always are, after all nothing can keep you down for long~” He answered simply, his eyes sparkling a little as he arrived at the door to his room. Unlocking it he gestured for her to come inside, following behind her. “The shower is just in the room to the left there. I’ll grab you some spare clothes and put them and a towel on the sink for you to grab when you’re done alright?”
Afterwards he hummed, scratching the back of his neck. Sure, it hurt a little knowing that she still was in love with another guy… but so long as he could be near her that’s what mattered right? Right. He went about gathering what he’d need to keep her mind occupied since obviously she’d been thinking too hard about something. Probably that dumb guy she loved.
Blue nodded at that. She made her way to the bathroom and peeled off the dress. This was stupid, why was she still waiting on a guy that might never return when it was clear that Gold still cared deeply for her. She sighed turning on the hot water and stepping into the shower. After standing in the rain for who knows how long the water felt good as she released a sigh.
Blue stayed in the hot water way to long letting it warm her up not thinking about why she’d been so upset. She knew it wouldn’t help the situation to think more about it, and besides, Gold was waiting for her. It was nearly an hour since Gold had brought her to his hotel room and she’d turned off the water feeling much better than she had before.
After drying herself off and pulling on the clothes that Gold had brought her she smiled gently heading out to where he was waiting for her.He was wrong she needed him more than she let on. Gold had been her rock for the last two years, he was one of her best friends.
“Hey..” She hummed going to sit on his bed still working on drying her hair. “So what movies did you decide on?”

kantosfirstchampion‌:
Green was slightly taken aback. He’d forgotten how much of a firecracker Blue could be. She had every right to be pissed off at him though. As if nearly bringing about the apocalypse wasn’t bad enough, he’d fucked off without so much as a goodbye for the past two years with no word on where he was going.
Then again, when the self-proclaimed God of all Pokémon tells you to follow them and help them undo the chaos you’ve created, your destination isn’t exactly the first thing on your mind. There was a lot Green had been dealing with the past couple of years, least of all his own inner turmoil about everything that had happened when he’d allowed Giratina to take control of him. He had needed time to process everything which made it difficult to explain to anyone, least of all Blue, what was going on with him when he didn’t know himself.
Still, didn’t excuse the fact that he’d basically shattered their relationship and then disappeared. He owed her an explanation and an apology and there was a time and a place for those things, but not now. Her letter to him sounded urgent and if there was a chance that there was one of Giratina’s rifts here, that needed to be Green’s first priority.
“Look Blue, I get you’re pissed. But if there’s actually a rift on this ‘Ghost Ship’, we have bigger fish to fry than my disappearing act. Now are we going to make sure this isn’t what we think it is or not?” he asked sharply. He didn’t mean to be snappy but this was serious. Last thing they needed was Giratina back in their lives. He turned away to face the ship and closed his eyes, taking a deep breath.
“I’m sorry, alright?” he said, before turning back to face her. “I’ll explain everything, soon as we’ve sorted this out.”
Blue wanted to scream at him for taking off. She understood needing time but to disappear for two years without a goodbye? Sure when they were kids she’d taken off but she’d said goodbye at least. She didn’t voice her anger, didn’t voice the hurt that she’d felt for the past two years, though if Green paid any attention to her face he’d see it in her eyes.
Hands on her hips she just sighed and shook her head. “I’m not pissed.” Least not anymore she was hurt. She thought that after she and her friends helped defeat the hold on Green things would be better. They weren’t. She just sighed and shook her head.
“You’re right we’ll sort this out later.” She finally said rubbing the back of her neck arms crossed over her chest. She didn’t know why he was being so snippy with her, this whole mess wasn’t her fault. Well not completely anyway. She wasn’t the one who told him to go running off to Giratina for help. The whole mess could have been avoided if she wouldn’t have agreed to one date with someone who wasn’t Green.
“Don’t... Just Don’t...” She finally managed. “We’ll talk after we figure out what this is.” She didn’t want to think about it. Didn’t want to think that perhaps he might be home after all this time when it was likely that he’d be taking off again after this.

nightmaresofgold‌:
Gold remembered clearly the last time he’d been here, and sometimes he found himself wishing he couldn’t remember it as clearly as he could. However, it was a memory of her and that made it worth the while to hold onto.
Hearing her question about finding a girlfriend he actually barked out a laugh before shaking his head. “Nah. Not yet, why you offering~?” He teased before waving it off as if not expecting an answer. He always teased and played after all, and he knew what her answer would be. It was how he protected his heart at times. He wasn’t over Blue yet, but he didn’t want her to know that.
“ah, but I’m your idiot~ At least as a friend of course…. and why would it be too much to ask? So long as you don’t mind wearing guy’s clothes of course. I don’t exactly have extra dresses and that lying around.”
Once she was in the elevator he was in after her, pressing the button up to his floor. “It won’t take long, promise.. then you can have that nice warm shower and we can catch up! It’s been a while after all… maybe over a movie or something?”
“You don’t? Why not?” Blue teased back shaking her head gently. Of course she didn’t expect him to have dresses lying about. It would be weird if he had. She suppressed another shiver before nodding her head. “It wouldn’t be the first time I’ve worn your clothes.” She said softly remembering all too well the last time.
The promise of a shower and being able to catch up made Blue smile. Not only would it be fun but it would also provide her the distraction she needed. Gold had always been good at that. She appreciated that he wanted to stay friends after she’d broken up with him. He was a good friend to have and she knew that. He was a good boyfriend too but she didn’t want to hurt him again by agreeing to something she knew wouldn’t work because of her.
“A movie sounds great honestly.” She said still trying to smooth the fabric that clung to her skin. It was getting uncomfortable if she was being honest. She found herself tugging his jacket tighter around her when the elevator stopped moving. She wondered what she looked like. Was her makeup running? Her hair clung to her in matted clumps and honestly if anyone was going to find her this way, well she was glad it was Gold. He’d seen her at her worst more times than she could count.
“Thank you Goldilocks... Really.” She said earnestly as she looked at him with warm brown eyes. “I don’t know what I’d have done without you.”

kotonies‌:
A wave of relief washed over Kotone. After the previous woman went on and on about the girl’s “lack” of qualifications, she was glad her little outburst didn’t make her new customer think the same thing. The last thing she needed was yet another person avoiding her Day Care and creating a bad reputation. For the most part, people trusted her. Kotone had noticed that the people who were apprehensive were usually from another region. At least the people in Johto knew she was definitely qualified.
“I’m never too busy!” Kotone spoke as she bounced slightly, hopping back to the computer behind the counter. She quickly logged in and immediately walked back to the customer. “Sorry, I just needed to sign back in real quick, but I much prefer talking face to face! It’s always a bit uncomfortable if I’m stationary while trying to connect to someone!”
The one thing her grandparents told her more than anything else was that the Day Care business was all about connections and Kotone took that to heart. Being an extroverted person, she never had much trouble trying to bond with customers. If anything, it helped her realize just how important that bond was. Without a bond, there’s uncertainty if the customer will return, a hazy bubble surrounding their thoughts on the place. Kotone wanted to make sure every experience was amazing at her business, for both pokemon and their owners.
“What kind of trip are you taking? Something local or to another region?” She asked with genuine interest. She would love to travel, but her job didn’t exactly allow the time to do so. Getting back to business, Kotone held her hand out towards the customer. “I’m so sorry, I never introduced myself! I’m Kotone, I own this Day Care and have run it on my own for a couple of years now!”
“I’m Blue, It’s nice to meet you Kotone, my friend Gold has spoke wonders about your daycare says that it’s the best in Johto.” She was only exaggerating a little. She had been told by Gold that people enjoyed it but she wasn’t sure if Gold and this Kotone actually knew each other. Humming as she watched the younger girl bounce around her eyes following the twintails for a moment wondering how the girl had so much energy.
“I’m heading to another region. Home I guess you can call it.” She said then eyes sad for a moment. “I just can’t bring all of them back with me and want to make sure they are with someone I can trust.” And who better than a professional. Blue smiled at the young girl and hummed before looking at the pokeballs in her bag. They would be happy here and be able to spend time with other pokemon. She wouldn’t be gone long. Hopefully.
“I have some... Uh business to take care of. So a business trip of sorts, I’m a researcher, not quite brilliant enough to have my own lab but who knows someday maybe,” Was she talking too much? Did this woman even care what her profession was?
“Knowing that you’ve been in business for this long on your own eases some worries admittedly. I was a bit skeptical because you look very young. I can see now that my skepticism was unwarranted.” She said looking over to the other again. “What got you into the daycare business?”

Hearing Blue’s question when she finally spoke, Gold was glad that she wasn’t frozen to the point of not being able to speak or something. He grinned brightly, sticking his tongue out a bit to try and maybe cheer her up or something. “Just taking in the sights. You know I’ve never really had the chance to actually explore Kalos. It’s fun so far!”
He made a face however at her scolding before rolling his eyes. “Yeah I know I could have, but then we wouldn’t have had the chance to meet up like this without planning! Surprises like that are always fun you know. Besides, if I don’t waste my money on hotels what else am I going to waste it on..? It’s not like I’m going to run out any time soon or anything.”
Gold was a bit startled when she hugged him, a warm feeling going through him as he hugged her back. “It’s good to see you too Blue. I’ve missed you.” After another moment he pulled away, tilting his head. “Come on, let’s get you up to my room to warm up. Unless you have an issue sharing a room temporarily with your ex that is~” He teased her, a sparkle in his eyes.
Assuming that she wouldn’t have a problem with it he began to lead her away, using his key-card to open the doors with the plan to lead them up to the higher floors where the rooms were. Before he actually went into the elevator however he made an overly dramatic bow and gestured to the door. “Ladies first~”
Blue was pretty sure that the last time Gold had been here had been when she broke up with him. Even then all the times they’d visited between Kalos and Johto most of her time was either spent at home or in the lab doing various projects. They did things of course, Gold was a gentleman and she appreciated it more than he would probably ever know. The problem was that he’d fallen for her and she was still in love with a ghost.really she’d broken up with him for his own good she wanted him to be happy and knew that it was probably killing him that she couldn’t fully return his feelings.
Suppressing a shiver she shrugged leaning into him. Even in the warm building, with how long she’d stood in the rain she was freezing. Gold’s coat helped a little but all she wanted in that moment was a hot shower and a cheesy romcom. “Dunno, find yourself a girlfriend yet?” She asked playfully. She was curious and they were friends so she was allowed to ask right?
“Gold you are one of my best friends of course I don’t have an issue with that... Actually I was going to ask if you wouldn’t mind me using your shower, possibly borrowing some clothes since mine are wet.” She gestured to how her blouse clung to her skin. “If that’s not too much to ask of course.” She said then wondering if it would be. Was leaning on him as much as she had in the last two years cruel?
When Gold mad the grand sweeping bow all she could do was laugh as she shook her head. “You’re an idiot.” She murmured affectionately before following his lead and heading toward the elevator.

Headcanons: Gold and Blue (Buttshipping) @nightmaresofgold
Three months or so after Green’s disappearing act Blue had gone to visit Silver. She’d expected the redhead to be free and waited for him in a coffee shop instead meeting up with Gold. The raven seemed to be able to tell that she was down and needed a friend. They grabbed coffee before heading out to lunch. Blue hadn’t expected to be fond of Gold, perhaps it was because he was a light during a very dark time in her life. He came when she needed him and she was grateful for that.
About a month after they started hanging out Gold asked her out saying that he understood that she was still in love with Green but he thought that he could make her happy. It was an internal struggle for a few days her giving him a million reasons why it wouldn’t work and him combating them.
He was right she was happy at times finding it easy to forget about the pain she felt when Green left. The pain she could forget, Green on the other hand seemed to spend time at the forefront of her mind try as she might to forget it. He’d abandoned her, she should be able to be happy with someone else right?
Their relationship lasted a year and a half, Blue was the one to end it explaining that she didn’t think it fair that Gold had to compete with the ghost of her former best friend. She promised that they could still be friends and she meant it. She finds herself running to Gold almost more than Silver when things go wrong. She cares for Gold and that’s the only reason that she broke up with him. She didn’t want to hurt him because she was damaged.

fragmentdaydream‌:
Chroma waited for the other to catch up, then they both made their way to Chroma’s RV.
“I mix certain berries with my “honey” to create potions. I don’t really use store bought things on my Pokemon.” She responded to the first question. “It’s also not bitter, like many of the herbal potions you can find on market. If you’d like, you can try out one of them? I should have enough sap to make a batch in a day or two.”
As they continued, Chroma was amused by her question.
“I don’t think I’m an axe murderer, but I’ve never murdered anyone.” She laughed at her own dumb joke. Hopefully her new friend, Blue, would see the silliness in it.
“My name is Chroma.”
Continuing, they finally reached her RV. It was at a camping site, about a ten minute walk from where they previously met.
“How long have you been a trainer, and what are you doing around these parts? Do you live here?”
She opened her RV and waited for Blue to walk inside.
“If you want, the fridge has fresh water and lemonade. I have some cookies on the island counter. I’ll make us some sandwiches. What do you prefer on yours?  I don’t have any beef or pork products, though.”
Blue blinked a few times as Chroma introduced herself and joked about the ax murder comment. It took her a few seconds before she was laughing and nodding. “I suppose that does make sense wouldn’t know if you’ve never done it.” She joked back before seeming to relax in the presence of the other woman.
“It’s very nice to meet you Chroma”
As they reached the RV Blue thought of how to answer the questions. “I’m from Pallet Town in Kanto, but I live in Lumiose City.” It seemed like a luxurious life and she did enjoy her work even if many times she worked herself to exhaustion. “Um... Well I started late, I think I started when I was thirteen or so, I might have been twelve it’s a long time to look back on. I’ve since given up training to be a researcher.” She spent her time in labs, with her nose in a book it was far different from her life as a thief.
“As for what I was doing well... That’s a loaded question. I’m supposed to be clearing my head. Just finished a project for Professor Sycamore.” She said then with a shrug as they entered the RV. She grabbed out water for both of them and hummed.
“I’ll have whatever you are, not all that picky of an eater.” She said with a smile. “Thank you.”

nightmaresofgold‌:
Gold had honestly been having a rather decent day, wandering around Lumiose City. He hadn’t been here for long the last time he was here so he was taking in all the sights now that he could. When it started raining a lot of people seemed to panic and cry out as they ran for shelter or grabbed umbrellas. Gold on the other hand just raised an eyebrow and continued on.
He’d always enjoyed the rain, it made things easier sometimes though he knew Exbo didn’t share this sentiment. He always made note to do his best to not bring the fire type out when it was raining, same for Sudobo of course. However his mind was snapped out of his thoughts when he thought he saw a familiar sight in front of him, one that he didn’t expect to see in this situation.
“Blue…?? Hey Blue! Is that you!?” Gold called out as he ran over to her. It was then that she spoke and he blinked in surprise. With that reaction, and the look on her face… something was very wrong here. He approached cautiously, a look of worry in his eyes before he could even consider stopping it.
“Blue…. what are you doing out here in the rain..??” He put a hand on her shoulder only to all but yank it back soon afterwards. “You’re freezing!! What have you been doing out here? You trying to catch a cold!?” He quickly pulled his jacket off and slid it over her shoulders. “Yeah sure my jacket may be a bit wet but at least it’s still enough to warm you up a little. Let’s get you out of the rain okay? Then Exbo can help warm you up a little.” Figuring that she probably wouldn’t want an audience he quickly led her to the hotel where he had a room. He’d been planning on staying the night and now it would serve a different purpose. “Come on Blue… you can tell me about it once we get inside… or we can talk about something completely different.”
Hearing Gold call out to her again Blue blinked, she looked less than perfect, make up running from the rain her hair matted to her head and the fabric of her clothes clung to her skin in odd places. She just stared mechanically at Gold for a minute before she opened her mouth to speak. She’d hardly expected to see her ex here of all places. Not that she’d minded they had stayed friends and spoke often but she looked like garbage.
“Gold...” She finally was able to stammer out feeling the warmth from his damp jacket. She tugged the fabric around her shoulders then trying to offer him her signature smile not wanting to worry him. Seems that idea didn’t work as she was suddenly being pulled in the opposite direction of her home and into a warm hotel as she numbly followed him.
“What are you doing in Kalos?” She finally asked as they reached the lobby unsure of what else to say for the moment. She was glad to see him he’d be good at distracting her from the thoughts in her head. She was soaked to the bone and even with the warmth from the lobby and the jacket that Gold had provided her she could help but shiver still.
“Are you going to be staying in town for a while? You know you could have just called me I have a spare room. Instead of wasting your money and all.” She scolded then with a smile hugging him. “Thank you. It’s really good to see you Goldilocks.”

fragmentdaydream‌:
Chroma barely acknowledged the woman who approached her. Just a simple nod as she fastened the sapper to the tree.
“I need this honey for potions…”
Once the sapper was properly fastened, Chroma would have to wait. It could take some time for the sap to flow through, which is another reason why she didn’t do this sooner. She had high hopes that the tree would be kind and give sap quicker.
Sighing, she returned her attention to the other.
“I understand it’s not actual honey, but it’s a sap that looks golden… like honey. As a child, I always thought it was honey…” She shrugged. “I understand how silly it is of me to keep calling it honey.” A slow, dreamy smile formed on her face. “Sometimes it’s best to keep the silly, though.”
Chroma danced off a little, getting closer to the girl. When her stomach growled, she paused.
“I’m hungry. Would you wanna join me? I’ve a kitchenette in my RV.”
She began heading to the direction of her RV, just a few steps before she stopped and said, “Is this the equivalent of telling a child to “get in the van, I have candy”, but for adults…?
“Potions?” Blue asked her brows knit together for a moment before she shook her head watching the young woman work her ‘magic’ on the ‘honey’. She wasn’t going to correct her, didn’t really care enough. When the woman kept talking however the brunette nodded along and smiled pleasantly. “So you use sap when concocting what?” She finally asked as she watched the woman a moment longer.
Blue had also been hungry but she’d just met this woman. Was it safe? It sounded an awful lot like someone asking a child if they wanted candy from a stranger. Her own stomach growled a bit and she sighed since she wouldn’t be able to deny being hungry after that.
“I suppose food isn’t a bad idea.” She finally said and stood to follow the woman to the RV. “You’re not some ax murderer right?” The woman seemed nice enough after all.
“My name is Blue by the way.” She hummed after a moment.

Blue wasn’t sure what she was doing out here; it started as a walk to clear her mind after finishing up a rather elaborate research project and now she was lost. She was sure if she kept walking she’d find either someone who could tell her exactly where she was or a town at the very least.
Blue found herself wandering for a few more moments before coming to a clearing. This seemed to lift her spirits as she released a sigh. Honestly she was a bit tired and hungry. She’d skipped breakfast that morning in order to finish the project and clearly hadn’t had time for lunch either.
Falling back into the grass the researcher closed her eyes, at least it was peaceful out here no matter what the reason for her being stuck. Not too soon after she heard an engine and then foot steps. Sitting up in the tall grass she noted an oddly dressed woman. Watching said woman her head cocked to the side and she stood curiously walking over.
“What are you doing?”
Golden Honey
Chroma wasn’t entirely sure if she’d find what she needed in Floaroma, but she hoped to find the elusive golden honey. It was the final ingredient for the batch of homemade potions she always made. She had previously put off getting more, always thinking, “I’ll  be in that part of the world soon enough.” Well, “soon enough” came earlier than expected.
Once she had arrived in the area, she parked her RV and headed towards the little meadow. Her gown floated above the grass, so each step tickled her ankles. It was an odd sensation, always making her think that a little bug type Pokemon was crawling onto her. It’s not that she didn’t like them… They just definitely weren’t her favorite.
She reached the end of the meadow and began looking for the honey. She was getting a little worried that she would leave disappointed; but then, to her happiness, she found a little honey tree. A huge smile on her face, she ran to it, and used her sapper to get the honey out.

Blue had been living in Kalos for two years, it helped to get her mind off of things if she was being honest.  There wasn’t that constant reminder of Green surrounding every turn. Her heart still ached when she had free time to think of home, of him. Had she done something wrong? Was there a reason that they hadn’t spoken in two years? She wondered if Green ever got any of the other letters that she’d left with Daisy and the Professor. If he was still alive.
She landed in Pallet earlier that week to finish up some work for Professor Oak knowing that she’d be gone for a while and not sure how long exactly. There had been a case of a mysterious ship showing up on Cinnabar Island and she was curious about it. Scrawling a quick note she left it for Green hoping that maybe he’d understand the urgency and that even if he hated her that she needed his help.
Arriving on the Island she was dressed to the nines in a gray and pink ball gown. This may have been a spooky case but she saw no reason not to dress her best. Besides rules stated that you had to wear a costume. Sliding the black lace mask over her eyes she sighed. Teeth sunk into her lower lip as she wondered whether Green would show up or not seems she didn’t have to wait long for her answer she’d know that spiky mop anywhere.
Hands on her hips she looked him over expecting him to turn around. When that didn’t happen her arms crossed over her bust hand moving to her mouth as she cleared her throat. He turned and the expression told her that he hadn’t planned to see her. She did her best to keep the mask in place as he lamely said hello the only indication of the hurt she felt screaming in her eyes.
“Is that really all you have to say after two years?” She breathed just barely keeping her tone even.
Ghosts | Green & Blue [Halloween Event]
Green had planned on easing himself back into civilisation slowly. Spend some time with Gramps and Daisy, and adjust. Anyone else, this would have worked out fine for, but not Green Oak. He’d barely been back a day when Gramps handed him a letter. The look on his face told him exactly who it was from. With a deep breath, he opened and read:
Green,
I’ve no idea where you are on the account of you up and leaving without a word but I thought Professor Oak would be the best bet for getting in touch with you.
I understand that you probably won’t want to see me but I need your help. There’s an oddity on Cinnabar Island. Could be a rift. Halloween festival starts there in two days. Meet me then at the docks.
Blue x
Folding the letter and putting it in his jacket pocket, he began to pack his things. How the hell did he miss one? He was certain he’d closed all of Giratina’s rifts. He’d spent the past two years making sure he did! This was never ending. Just as he thought he could finally get back on track, his past kept coming back to haunt him. He was praying it was a false alarm.
It wasn’t the only thing that had him afraid. He hadn’t seen Blue since she’d saved him and he’d beaten Giratina. He left without a word to go and try to make up for the damage he’d caused. He was scared of how she’d react. Did she hate him? In any case he had to see her, explain everything.
Waking up Dante, Green got on the back of his trusty Charizard and set out for Cinnabar Island. Luckily the skies seemed clear along the way and he made it to the island with time to spare. Festival rules stated everyone on the island had to be in costume so Green put on a Team Rocket uniform to blend in with the festival goers and made his way towards the docks.
Upon arrival, he saw exactly what Blue meant by the oddity. There was a cruise ship slap bang in front of him surrounded by fog and it felt….. wrong. Like it wasn’t supposed to be there. Before he could ponder its existence any longer, a subtle cough caused him to turn around and standing there before his eyes was someone he thought he’d never see again. “Blue…. Hi”.

Blue had been thinking of taking a small trip, and as much as she would love to bring her partners she worried that they’d be stuck in their pokeballs more than not. For that reason she found herself at the daycare. It had been recommended to her by many of the people that she worked with, they swore that despite the appearance of the young girl that she was indeed the best.
The brunet sighed watching as the woman proceeded to tell the woman behind the counter how sh was unqualified. She’d been about to speak up but it seemed that young daycare provider had herself covered. Leaning against the door she watched as the whole scene unfold.
It wasn’t until the end when the girl noticed her that Blue was waving her hands in front of her body. “No you’re fine she had much worse coming.” In fact she thought that the woman had handled it very professionally other than the little threat.
“I was actually coming to see about dropping off some friends.” She said then with a smile. “If you’re not too busy of course, I’m going to be heading out for a trip and I don’t want them confined to their balls.” She said with a smile.
Qualifications and Complications
Peaceful, calm, relaxed.
Those were the usual words that came to mind when Kotone thought of her place of work. She loved running the Day Care. She felt honored her grandparents entrusted the entire business to her. She was qualified, of course. She wouldn’t allow her family business to be given to her unless she was ready, and her grandparents would never trust their lifelong project to someone untrained, regardless of familial relations. Kotone knew she was capable of doing her job marvelously, which is exactly why she got so upset when people assumed she couldn’t.
“You’re in charge of the Day Care now? Are you even old enough to run a business? How am I supposed to trust my pokemon will be safe here? The last owners had years of experience, you don’t even look like you’ve had a day.”
Kotone plastered on a smile. This wasn’t the first time she’d been so obviously disrespected by a potential clients. She looked and acted pretty young for her age and honestly expected some hesitance. After all, her grandparents were much older and did have years of experience. Many more years than she did. But that didn’t mean Kotone didn’t know what she was doing.
The person had been going on and on about how she wasn’t fit to run a business for around 15 minutes now. Kotone had just been smiling and politely nodding with dead eyes. She knew that once the person tired themselves out they’d just leave.
“Maybe you should stay in a day care instead of running one.”
Anger, anger, anger.
With just one comment Kotone’s fight or flight instincts kicked in, but there was no way she was leaving her own place, so the only option left was to fight.
“Excuse me,” she started with a forced smile. “I may seem young, but I’m more than qualified to watch after your pokemon. Despite my age I’m certain I’ve taken care of way more pokemon than you have. After all, it is my profession. And unfortunately for you, all of us Day Care owners are very close, so if you don’t trust me to take care of your pokemon, then they might not trust you for judging me so quickly. Now if you don’t mind, I kindly ask that you reconsider or leave the building.”
She watched as the person huffed out, surprised to see another person standing at the door. “Oh dear Arceus!” Kotone rushed over to the person, immediately dipping her head down in shame. “I’m so sorry you had to see that! I promise I’m usually a lot more professional than that, you just caught me at a bad moment!” She looked up, embarrassment clear on her face. “I hope this doesn’t lower your opinion of the Day Care!”

When it rains
It had been two years since she’d seemingly lost her best friend and she still felt that dull ache in her heart. She’d secluded herself for the most part hardly leaving the lab unless it was required. Typically she went from one lab to another if she wasn’t working for Sycamore then she was doing something for Oak in a hope of seeing her best friend. So far there wasn’t any word from him and work help take her mind off of everything else.
When she arrived at the lab today however Sycamore just frowned at her and told her to go home. She’d put in more hours this week than even he had and he was starting to worry. Blue tried to assure him that she was indeed fine but he wasn’t buying it and she was sent home for the day.
With nothing to do and no notice she was unable to go bother Professor Oak which left her for the first time in two years forced to deal with her own thoughts. Blue found herself wandering with no real destination looking around the beautiful city. Today it seemed dull and she wondered if that was because of her mood or if her opinion of Luminos had changed since first arriving thirteen years ago.
Hearing the thunder she looked up as the sky seemed to open up and the rain came pouring down. She didn’t flinch, didn’t make to move inside instead looking straight ahead as she let her thoughts wander. It wasn’t until she heard someone speak up that she moved realizing she was shivering from the cold rain.
“What?” She hadn’t heard what they said only that they’d spoken.

Day Five: A pairing with the least chemistry.
Chosen shipping is alright. I don’t ship it in a romantically but as a sibling relationship. I mean Blue considers Silver as her brother and she’s always supporting him to do his best. Silver calls Blue his ‘sis’ which obviously states a lot. Those two wouldn’t even get far iin a relationship because I feel like Blue would feel bad for Silver. (Just how I think sorry chosenshippers!) So yeah… those two aren’t meant for each other…

As bad as it sounded she wasn’t in the mood to deal with his little pity party. Did he honestly think she wasn’t affected by this at all? Sure things slipped her mind and it happened quite often unfortunately but that didn’t mean she didn’t care about him. Green was her best friend the person she counted on most when things got rough. How could he possibly think that she’d just forget something like that.
“And you think I didn’t care about you?” She growled crossing her arms. “Yeah I get I messed up Green but you act like I’m the only one in the wrong you could have called to!” She’d had about enough of this it wasn’t like she’d changed the number or anything. “Communication is a two way street, and if you think that I just forgot about you you’re insane.” It was the truth just because she didn’t keep in touch doesn’t mean that she didn’t still care, why else would she have come back to this stupid town. She’d been in love with Green since they were children, honestly how could he think she didn’t care.

“Don’t you dare” Green said, desperately trying to hide the emotion in his voice. “Don’t you dare walk away Blue. After everything we’ve been through you think you can just show up here after six years without an explanation and then just act like nothing happened and then think you can walk away?” Green was shaking, much as he tried to hide it. It was as much to do with trying to fight back the tears as it was anger.
People were staring but Green didn’t care. He needed answers and he was going to get them. Things had been good in his life. Not perfect but still good. He’d made enough money from the Gym to resign and start travelling again. But now she had to come along and bring back all the hurtful memories just to walk away again? No, Green wasn’t having it. She was going to explain everything to him and she was going to do it now.
“We almost died together Blue. We put our lives on the line to save the world. You were supposed to be the one person I could rely on and you abandoned me. You vanished off the face of the planet without so much as an explanation. You didn’t write or call or give me any sign you were still alive. How the hell could you do that to me? What part of your twisted little mind justifies that and makes you think that’s okay?”
Blue flinched visibly as Green threw their past in her face. It wasn’t that she didn’t know that, nor that she didn’t care she’d just been thinking about her self at the time, goodbyes were hard didn’t he know that? Though he was right and she knew that as much as she hated it. Biting her lip Blue let him continue she knew she deserved it. Once he was done and she was able to meet his gaze. It wasn’t that she didn’t want to say goodbye to him, he was her best friend after all and she cared for him dearly seeing how hurt he was now just made her want to leave all over again. He was clearly better off without her.
“I wasn’t trying to hurt you.” Yeah Blue that sounded good but you sure sucked at proving it. “I didn’t think I’d be gone for as long as I was. Honestly by the time I thought about it, I figured you’d be happy and would have forgotten about me.” She admitted her usual confidence gone.

The years had changed him. Red had fled to Mt. Silver without a word in order to train. That was fair enough. He’d expected that. But Blue? She’d left to Arceus knows where for years without so much as a damn explanation, leaving him only with a plushie that looked similar to Paarth. How could she do this to him? Did everything that they’d gone through mean nothing to her? It was questions like these that had plagued his mind for the past number of years. Eventually he’d learned to accept she was gone and most likely not coming back.
But it had made him bitter. The happy, fiery Green that had once been had become cold, building his walls high so he’d be sure no one could break him like that ever again. He was never going back to that anxiety. Chuck had taught him how to beat all that so he put that training into practice. He was ruthless as a Gym Leader, completely destroying anyone who came up against him. Occasionally he’d let someone win who had real potential to beat the League but that was about it. But it was time to move on. Handing his resignation papers into the Gym’s Office he walked out of those doors for the last time.
Walking into the café beside the Gym he ordered a Chai tea. He couldn’t complete his last day in that Gym without his usual after work ritual now could he? Paying the barista who always smiled at him with such happiness, he picked up his tea and walked out. Time for a new st–
No sooner had the thought crossed his mind when he saw someone that made him drop his tea on the ground. Green didn’t even notice it splash at his feet, he was too busy looking at the brunette girl standing in front of him. No. It couldn’t be. There was no way. But there was. The look in her eyes and on her face said it all. It was her. It took all of Green’s composure not to release all the emotion he’d been feeling the past number of years. He swallowed hard and spoke through gritted teeth.
“What are you doing here?”
So much for that plan no sooner had he walked in had he noticed her.Biting her lip Blue looked up at the former champion and gave him a small smile flinching visibly from the tone.  She’d caused a lot a damage and she knew it, being gone for almost six years, leaving without an explanation. Hell She hadn’t even bothered to write or call, for all Green knew she was dead. Darting her gaze away from him she sighed trying to think up a plausible excuse for her disappearing act. Coming up empty handed she returned her gaze to the male puffing out her cheeks in a pout.
“It’s obvious isn’t it?” Cerulean hue cast up ward to meet his own gaze. “I was coming to see you, and then I thought better of it cause you’d either be angry or you wouldn’t remember.” She said in a matter of fact tone not wanting to betray her feelings. She was honestly worried about how he’d take her returning.
“I can see it was a bad idea so.. I’ll just replace the drink you dropped and go I’m sorry.” She wasn’t sure what she was sorry for, leaving him? Not having a good enough reason for leaving? Not knowing what drew her back her to begin with? Or maybe for making him spill his drink on the floor. It was probably a little bit of all of that. Seeing him now made her regret ever leaving.
