When you’ve been hurt or offended, sometimes it’s tempting to hold on to unforgiveness. But we have to remember, when people wrong us, our battle is not against flesh and blood. In other words, that person who hurt you is not the real enemy. The Bible says that your adversary is the devil, and he knows that if you don’t forgive, then your prayers won’t be effective. Unforgiveness puts up a barrier in your life to the power of God. In fact, if we don’t forgive others, we can’t be forgiven by God. But when you choose forgiveness, you open the door for God’s healing power to flow through your life. Disarm the enemy in your life today by choosing forgiveness. Bless those who curse you and pray for those who wrong you. Look at what Jesus did—when He was betrayed, beaten, mocked, and disrespected, He chose forgiveness. As you follow His example, you will open the door for God to move in your life, and you’ll live in victory in every area of your life!

A Prayer for Today

Heavenly Father, thank You for forgiving me and giving me new life. I choose today to extend the gift of forgiveness to others. I bless those who have wronged me and ask You to heal every broken place in my life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Hindi ko alam kung nasaaan ako

Nasaan nga ba ako?

Hindi ko alam kung saan ba ako nakatayo ngayon

Marami kaseng mga bibig ang nagsasalita

Maraming daliri ang tumuturo

Pero bakit ganun? Pinupuntirya nila ay ang bawat isa.

Kaya ngayon uulitin ko, sino ang dapat kong paniwalaan?

Minsan napapatanong ako sa sarili ko,

Ano ba ang lumalabas sa bibig ko?

Buhay ba o Kamatayan?

Ano ba ang nagawa ko sa paligid ko?

Nakatulong ba o nakasama?

Kung ako lang, iisipin ko ang positibo 

Pero ano kaya ang kasagutan ng mga taong nasa paligid ko?

Karamihan sa atin ay dumaan sa ganitong sitwasyon,

kung saan ang iyong kalaban ay ang sarili mong emosyon.

Pero ano nga ba ang maaaring solusyon?

Siguro’y dinadaan nalang sa pakikipagdiskusyon.

Ayoko nang kuma-usap,

Ang nais ko’y kausapin, 

ang kailangan ko’y kausapin..

Pero kanino ko ba dapat sabihin ang mga bagay-bagay na aking iniisip?

Sino ba ang maaaring maka-intindi sa akin?

Pero ayos na ang aking puso’t isipan

Ang gusto ko lang ay mapaglalabasan

Nitong mga bagay sa aking kaisipan

Para madama ko ang salitang Kalayaan.

Kalayaan mula sa pagkakabilanggo

Sa kulungan na ginawa ng aking emosyon

sapagkat mas masarap mabuhay base sa desisyon

Ito’y katotohanan, walang halong opinyon.

Sige ito na’y aking tatapusin,

mga salitang lumalabas sa aking isip

When God puts a dream in your heart, when He puts a promise on the inside of you, He deposits within you everything you need to accomplish that dream. He wouldn’t give you the desire to do something without giving you the ability to fulfill it. In fact, the scripture tells us that God gives us the desires of our heart. In other words, He puts the desire inside of us and then works with us to bring it to pass.

Oftentimes, people set out to accomplish their dreams, but they face a setback or disappointment, and then they feel like their time has passed. But let me tell you today, no matter where you’ve come from, no matter what’s happened in your past, God wants to make you new. He wants to give you a fresh start. If you feel like you’ve missed opportunities in your life, if you feel like your time has passed, remember, today is a new day. You are a new person, and God has new opportunities in store for you. Lift up your eyes of faith and look forward to the new thing God has for you in this New Year!
