obviously, dialogue is not final at all, i'm still heavily in the writing phase of their origin story but... hope y'all like seeing my process!!

Starting Dom & Mor as a sweet slice-of-life has been amazing, but it's made it a little harder to be open about their melancholy origin story since the mood is so different and I've made a lot of new followers who only know them as happy and loving. Trying to build up the courage to post more of my concept art for their backstory!!

I've been making a lot of headway with the visual language but a lot of them have been a little too dark that I'm feeling shy. This one isn't as macabre as the others so I thought it'd be a good way for me to get back into the sad bitch versions of them

THIS IS SO DUMB... Bee convinced me to make a singer AU where Dom is a kpop idol and Mor is an indie singer-songwriter who ends up writing for Dom's girl group.....

Mor's got an indie girl vibe, think Teagan&Sara meets pre-TDE SZA meets Skylar Grey. meanwhile Dom would be the visual/vocal for a girlcrush group. Like if Wanna One/Nu'est's Hwang Minhyun was a girl

for a while now, I've been wanting to explore Dom & Mor as teens.

I don't know if i'll necessarily be showing any stories from this time period, but their histories do inform a lot of what they're dealing with as adults. I thought visualizing some of that would be a good exercise!

someone on webtoon assumed Mor wears pastels and i was like WHERE did u get that idea so. i'm here to inform that she's not really a pastel girl. her fav colors to wear are whites and light tans, navy blues and raspberry-reds

just bc on the spectrum of yuri genders she is more cute-aligned doesn't mean she doesn't have nuance 🤌🏻

I realized it's been a while since I did a full concept fashion illustration, so I did some for Dom's modeling portfolio bc. I love quirky editorial concepts, so I went with the idea of a fashionable abduction and interrogation lmaoooo

I haven't found the time or energy these days to reference direct fashion lines, but the general inspos are:

someone asked me if i had photo moodboards for Dom & Mor and I DO but i also decided to do some semirealistic studies of them cause why not. Warmdowns are good. Refs below!

i don't really do "faceclaims" that's sorta weird esp when refing influencers. But credit! Lot of these were found on pinterest the king of no credit, but Morgan's inspos include itsprincesstaye and muneeraili on IG. Dom's inspos are from fashion models Sora Choi and Hoyeon Jung
