Guess who ate a cinnamon roll only to realise there were raisins inside them halfway through. Stumbled upon this image while doing historical research- perfectly portrayed the look I gave my mom a split second before I burst into tears.

Gracefully late
I had to coax my dancer friend, Matt Lawson into dancing his way through the day. I am kind of into mustard lately, hence the styling.He wasn't too pleased about the icy platforms, but hey- what are friends for if they can't risk a broken neck,eh?
I did get a fair share of tantrums later in the day, so that's that.

Trendbook 101: Use reptiles on your hair.
I just realised snakes are just tails with faces. Found this while scrolling through my instagram feed- a definite must-have for this season, apparently. I must admit, the snake on hair idea is starting to grow on me.
Its time for them reptiles to hide, tell them I'm on my way.

I need help getting over the Gucci show.
Im sorry rest of the world, but of all the shows I have watched this season, Gucci takes the cake. They had me excited like a 5 year old with a sugar rush. The Gucci fall winter 2018 collection is more than qualified to be called a kitsch of a fashion show. Set in a minty green theatre with blaring lights, you could call it an amalgamation of everything- History, culture, fantasy, madness–you name it and it is referenced. I knew the Frankenstein theme made sense!
On a serious note- the brand has powered through once again with its signature florals, but with a good serving of nightmarish whims this time. The juxtaposition of patterns and fabrics in the collection brilliantly summed up the theme while sporting the DNA of the brand. The models paraded around in an endless trance, seeming like fantastical creatures looking for an appointment. As if baby dragons and snakes weren’t quirky enough to become accessories, severed heads were carried around by a couple of models, just to add that note of ghoulish humour (This is where I let out a manly gasp because I flipped way too much). I don't know about you, but the crystal headdresses and knitted balaclavas reminded me of bandages and were just screaming to be noticed amongst the clanking of surgical instruments-which I honestly think was the only music required- to add to the already skyrocketed excitement.
Somebody give Alessandro Michele an award.

Splurge on vintage and thrift shops to find unique clothes that you can sport- if you're willing to go that extra mile, that is.

Love them, they are your babies. A basic garment can amp up or tone down an outfit, however you please. Add a pop of contrast with a white or coloured shirt while going monochrome all the way.

Brave it out by combining masculine and feminine elements in your outfit. Throw on a polo over that slip dress. Or a pair of pinstripe pants underneath it. Or a blazer over it. Be creative.
