I think that we are one of those couples with a long story, when people ask how we found each other. I will see her every now and then, and maybe one year she’ll be with somebody and the next year I’ll be with somebody. And it’s going to take a long time…and then it’s perfect. I’m in no rush.

I understand quick sand now

Growing up we always thought that quick sand would be the cause of our untimely demise. We saw it everywhere, especially cartoons. But maybe the quick sand was a metaphor. To becoming stagnant and getting stuck in one place. Or being pulled in a different direction than you hoped to be heading. Or being so overwhelmed by something it consumed us. Don't let the quicksand consume you. You can pull yourself out. And you can allow others to help pull you out too.
