New Podcast for Tumblrinas
Alright, now that the show is officially out, I feel like I can make this post.
AHEM.
Tumblr.
Do you like toxic yuri, wet cat protagonists, autistic protagonists, terrible women, cannibalism as a metaphor for sex, meat stuff, and a deep exploration of aroaceness and bodily autonomy?
Me too! Love that shit.
I have a podcast for you. And honestly, I've been hoping with bated breath that the body horror and cannibalism moments would continue until release.
If nothing else, I know the hannibal girlies got me.
If you're looking for a new horror fiction podcast, why not try The Gospel of Haven?
Perfect for fans of The Silt Verses, NBC's Hannibal, and women covered in blood. You can find it on Spotify, Apple podcasts, or any good podcatcher.

Bending my knee to swear knightly fealty to the meatpod (i mean the gospel of haven)
Body horror! Architectural horror! Religious cosmic horror! Most importantly, the intrinsic horror of inescapable assimilation into society (and the body of a god, too, i guess) and of being bent and molded to its rigid, deeply ingrained system of beliefs and set of norms (listen, i can excuse compulsory organ harvesting, but i draw the line at *gags, shudders with dread* being expected to have children)!!
Already so head over heels in love with all the meat and flesh and rawness of body AND wonderfully disturbed by the ever-looming threat of individuality/autonomy loss<333

I listened to the first episode of The Gospel of Haven and I'm immediately hooked. The line about Isiah feeling like there was something fundamentally wrong with them because they didn't believe like everyone else hit hard. That is EXACTLY how I felt growing up in a christian household, in a conservative christian area, and just... never really buying it.

Just listened to the first gospel of haven episode and it is sooo intriguing! Got me hooked with the perspective of the head surgeon and most faithful.
Anyone who wants a new horror podcast, they're serving religious trauma and squelchy organ sounds following a teen trying to hide their scepticism to protect themselves and their family and a surgeon priest vexxed by divine donor organ rejection. Trying to be vague so you can experience it yourself, please check it out!

Image description copied from alt text: A square graphic with a red background that shows a raised fist bearing the IWW logo and text that reads, "Did you know? The IWW was founded in Chicago, Illinois in June 1905." The union website, iww.org, is also listed. End image description.
Did you know?
The Industrial Workers of the World, or the IWW, was founded in Chicago, Illinois in June of 1905. Its members are often nicknamed "Wobblies," and the union itself is frequently called "the One Big Union."
Why "One Big Union?" Because the IWW was founded to serve every worker. At the time the IWW was founded, only a short list of specialized trades had unions. Major industries such as textiles, docks, agriculture, and mining were all without representation, and many of the IWW's first battles were to organize those very workers!
If you're a member of the working class, you have a place with the IWW!
